As you well know, Microsoft has set quite demanding requirements to be able to install the Windows 11 operating system. What’s more, to enjoy the “advantages” of Copilot+, a processor is required that has specific NPU cores for AI. Well, if for whatever reason you do not meet the requirements to install Windows 11 24H2 or it is not yet available, thanks to the Flyby11 open source script, you can install this update.

But this update is somewhat atypical, since it has restrictions that prevent certain devices from downloading and installing it. Microsoft from the beginning limits direct installations or updates on non-compatible devices. Now, 24H2 implements additional measures to prevent it from being installed on very old devices.

Specifically, it affects systems with processors that do not support SSE4.2 instructions. If your processor is more or less ten years old, you shouldn’t have the slightest problem, even if it is not on Microsoft’s list of compatible CPUs. Still, you have Flyby11, an open source script that bypasses this restriction.

Use Flyby11 to force the installation of Windows 11 24H2

Microsoft’s operating system update brings several interesting elements. The first is the arrival of the ‘sudo’ command to Windows. Additionally, it adds support for Wi-Fi 7, something that if you don’t have a motherboard compatible with this standard, it still doesn’t give you much. Finally, it brings Copilot+, the controversial AI assistant that has been talked about so much.

Flyby11 is an open source script that allows us to install Windows 11 24H2 without major problems despite being an unsupported device. This tool is intended for upgrades, it is not intended for new installations.

This tool includes all the “working methods to bypass restrictions” on unsupported devices. It is a tool that works very well and has no malicious code at all. Its developer has created other interesting solutions such as ThisIsWin11 or Winpilot.

It offers us two mechanisms to install the update. The first is an update through server configuration. The second option is through Registry modifications. Either of the two methods, in principle, should allow us to update without major problems.

The first step, of course, is to download Flyby11, something we can do easily from the GitHub repository itself. We leave you in direct link so you don’t get confused.

We are talking about a fairly light compressed file that should take a few seconds to download. Once it is downloaded, of course, we must unzip it, being able to do so in the same download folder.

After downloading and unzipping the file, we must execute it. Since it lacks a Microsoft signature, the message “Windows protected your PC” will appear, which is normal. We simply have to click on “More information” and then “Run anyway”. Finally, we confirm the security message by clicking on the “Yes” button.

We can start by selecting the first method that appears on the screen. We must also check the ‘Fido’ script option that appears below, since we will need to download the Windows 11 24H2 ISO from the Microsoft website. Once downloaded, we only have to click on the “Mount and Run ISO” option.

We must follow the instructions that will appear on the screen. If this first option does not work, we will use the second method which is through Registry modifications.

We recommend that, once you start a process, do not move the mouse or avoid passing it over the window. If you do that, you will see the process “disappear” and show you the process description.
