The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is still active and the invaded country is completing one of the long-term plans that had been proposed some time ago. It was previously said that Ukraine would focus on the use of drones as a defensive and offensive tool in the fight. Now they show that the plan has advanced in a very ambitious way.

Months ago, Ukraine found a possible solution in drones. First he began to manufacture them by hand. Instructions were given and they concluded that great technology was not necessary to manufacture drones that could pose a problem for Russia. From there, leaked videos began to be seen showing the effect of kamikaze drones on locations where Russian soldiers were located. But Ukraine obviously wanted more. I was interested in having real technologically advanced drones. And that required only one thing.

Entrepreneurs arrive

Ukraine is at a time where the country is paralyzed on many levels and there are a large number of companies that have stopped operating. Therefore, in this situation, other needs have appeared. And the country has trusted entrepreneurs to take care of it. Everything has been concentrated on the manufacture of drones. They say from Ukraine that they have more than 10 companies manufacturing drones with which the objectives they had set are being achieved.

Now the country already has so many drones that it can afford to select the best of the best. Hence, they are testing the various proposals of entrepreneurs to determine which models can perform best in the combat field. These drones, the best of the best, will be part of the army of 13,000 drones that Ukraine has set as a target. And, as they report, these are not ordinary drones.

Smarter and more autonomous

What Ukraine wants is to shape swarms of drones that can wreak havoc. If in some cases a single well-used drone has a superior destructive capacity, the country relies on that figure of 13,000 units to demonstrate that they are very serious. At the moment, they say that they are going to receive a first wave that will consist of 3,000 drones. More units will later be added to these until the ambitious objective of the army we talked about is completed.

These Ukrainian drones will be able to fly and act independently thanks to their intelligent systems, they will not require constant monitoring and will not even be affected by systems to create interference. According to the country, the moment the drone fixes the target, it will not stop until it manages to destroy it. The difficult thing in this case was to ensure that, when the drone loses contact with the operator, it can continue flying without supervision and even attack its target. But from Ukraine they comment that they have carried out tests and that the drones have done a successful job.

Ukraine also highlights another advantage of these drones: their low price. Each drone costs $1,000, which is about double what one of the standardized drones costs. However, they see it as a great investment because, to do the same job, with these smart drones you only need one unit when, with the previous ones, you would require several drones.

The statistics they have published are very optimistic, since they say that the success rate of the attacks they can carry out with these new intelligent drones goes from 20% to 90%. This is a very important factor to take into account and something that may provide Ukraine with that secret weapon that it has been wanting to develop for so long to try to make a difference. From the United States, where they have invested in the development of the technology of these drones, it seems that they have been impressed with their great performance. Therefore, it could be a resource that turns the tables in the near future.
