O2 finally makes a move after the last moves of its rivals. The changes in the lowest cost market of operators are not exactly few. So it is normal to be a little lost about the different rates of these cheaper companies. But, so that you can get an idea, we are going to put the new rates of this operator face to face with the offers from Digi, Lowi and Simyo.

It is not always clear which are the best rates, in this case, fiber and mobile. More than anything, the latest news from O2 has to do only with the combined plans of its catalog. To do this, there is no choice but to compare the current offer of these three cheaper brands with the new improvements from the low-cost operator Telefónica.

O2 vs. Digi vs. Simyo vs. Lowi

Below Movistar is O2, since it is Telefónica’s low-cost bet. It is precisely for this reason that it always has to face the different offers launched by its competitors, among which are Digi, Simyo and Lowi.

On this occasion, each of the rates in their respective catalogs will not be taken into account, but it is time to focus on their fiber and mobile plans after O2’s latest move by improving its convergent rates.

In addition, there is an important detail: the Smart fiber or Fit fiber rates of the Digi and Lowi operators are not included here. Because? Basically, because they are not available to everyone, even though they are even cheaper options than the rest of the convergent plans, both in comparison to O2 and other operators. This is precisely why you have to focus on indirect fiber rates from Simyo, Lowi and Digi.

If we focus first on those combined with 300 Mbps, the following cheaper rates can be found:

  • O2 with 300 Mbps + 30 GB for 30 euros per month
  • Digi with 300 Mbps + 30 GB for 30 euros per month
  • Lowi with 300 Mbps + 25 GB for 30 euros per month
  • Simyo with 300 Mbps + 80 GB for 32.99 euros per month

The most expensive option is from Simyo, however, it must be taken into account that it is 80 GB (it is not allowed to contract 300 Mbps with 40 GB on the website). Even so, it may be worth paying 3 euros more. However, with the improvement of O2 it is at the level of Digi and the rest of the cheap operators, since until then it only offered 10 GB on its mobile line.

On the other hand, if you want to contract 600 Mbps or 1 Gbps, these are the rates that interest you from these operators:

O2

  • 600 Mbps + 50 GB for 35 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 120 GB for 38 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 250 GB for 44 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 350 GB + Movistar Plus+ for 50 euros

Digi

  • 1 Gbps + 30 GB for 35 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 60 GB for 36 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 120 GB for 38 euros
  • 1 Gbps + Unlimited mobile rate for 40 euros per month

Lowi

  • 600 Mbps + 25 GB for 33 euros
  • 600 Mbps +40 GB for 36 euros
  • 600 Mbps + 125 GB + 1 year of Prime for 38 euros
  • 600 Mbps + 250 GB + 1 year of Prime for 40 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 40 GB + 1 year of Prime for 38 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 125 GB + 1 year of Prime for 40 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 250 GB + 1 year of Prime for 42 euros

Simyo

  • 600 Mbps + 40 GB for 31.99 euros
  • 600 Mbps + 80 GB for 35.99 euros
  • 600 Mbps + 200 GB for 41.99 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 40 GB for 33.99 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 80 GB for 37.99 euros
  • 1 Gbps + 200 GB for 43.99 euros

The cheapest offer with 600 Mbps can be found on Digi and O2. Although, the Telefónica operator offers 20 GB more on the mobile line. And to contract 1 Gbps, the cheapest option is in Simyo, which costs less than 35 euros. Of course, it offers only 40 GB for the mobile line. In any case, these are the rates that should be taken into account right now when choosing between these telephone companies.

What does each operator gain?

Once you know each of the different combinations that you can choose from, you need to know more details about these operators. For this reason, the following characteristics must be taken into account:

  • O2: has 5G+ for Movistar mobile, unlimited landline and O2 cloud + renting are included and has no permanence.
  • Digi: 5G from Movistar, allows you to accumulate mobile gigabytes, allows you to contract a fixed rate (price per minute 1 euro or unlimited for 3 euros) and has a Digi Storage cloud service, the permanence is 3 months.
  • Lowi: 5G from Vodafone, allows gigabytes to be accumulated, has no landline and 3-month permanence.
  • Simyo: 5G from Orange, allows you to accumulate gigabytes, does not have a landline, allows you to buy mobile phones in installments and has a permanence of 3 months.

Lowi Simyo

Each of these operators wins at different points. For example, O2 has Movistar Plus+ included in its top combined rate, it is the only one of these brands with 5G+ and offers a landline with unlimited calls and free SMS. Although, it is true that it does not allow you to accumulate gigabytes as happens in Digi, Lowi and Simyo.

On Digi’s part, it is clear that it has cheaper prices, especially if you can contract any of its rates with Smart fiber. We must also highlight its cloud storage service. And among the advantages of Lowi and Simyo, the truth is that they usually launch temporary promotions on key dates such as summer, Christmas or even Black Friday. In addition, at Lowi you can choose to hire the Fit fiber, which is much cheaper.

In short, each of these brands has its positive points. So you just have to look carefully to be right when hiring one of their combinations.
