For yet another year, the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training makes available to all young people of study age who want to continue expanding their training, a series of scholarships so that money is not a problem that limits access to less affluent people. through a large number of scholarships for both university and non-university courses.
Depending on what the studies we are going to carry out will be, the amount varies, as do the deadlines and the necessary requirements to be able to present the corresponding application and have it approved on time and not have to use family savings.
Although we are still not very clear about where we want to direct our academic future, it is not necessary to specify it at the time of the scholarship application. Once it has been approved, when completing all the documentation it will be necessary to offer this information, but at the time of requesting it, so we have enough time.
Scholarships for university studies
The university studies included in this call for scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year are:
- University access courses for people over 25 years of age, as long as they are taught at public universities
- University education for bachelor’s and master’s degrees
Regarding the amount of the scholarships, these include the corresponding enrollment in the degree. For family income we can receive 1,700 euros while, if during the studies we are forced to change residence, the amount we will receive will be 2,500 euros. we also have to add between 50 and 125 euros for academic excellence.
Scholarships for non-university studies
Scholarships for non-university studies can be applied for:
- Baccalaureate
- Access courses and entrance exam preparation
- Basic, intermediate or superior vocational training
- Professional and higher artistic education
- Higher religious and sports education
- Language teaching in official schools
The basic benefit of 300 euros. For family income, we can receive 1,700 euros. If the study entails a change of residence during the school year, we will receive 2,500 euros. To these amounts, we have to add between 50 and 125 euros for academic excellence.
If we receive the scholarship linked to family income (1,700 euros), we will not have rights to basic income (300 euros). Those associated with a change of residence during the school year or for excellent academics are complemented with the basic and family income.
Where to apply for scholarships
We have until May 17 to submit the application, an application that we must make electronically through the portal of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training that we can access through this link.
To do so, it is necessary to have an electronic certificate in any browser, use the Cl@ve system, a DNIe reader or a key and password that we can obtain through the same website. Once we have submitted the request, we will have to wait for the response that will arrive via email.
