How to create a playlist on Spotify
To start you must have the app on your mobile device. If you haven’t already, you can download it from the Apple Store. Sign in or create a user. You can use your Google or Facebook account to create your account and log in.
To create a playlist go to “Your library”. You have this option at the bottom of the screen. Click on the “Playlist” tab and then on “+ Create playlist”. Add a name and to finish press “Create”.
Now you need to find the songs you want to add. To do this you have to press on the green button “Add songs”. It will take you to a new screen with a search bar at the top. There write the name of the song or the artist.
Spotify will offer you several playlists where the song you are looking for is found. Enter one of them and position yourself on the song you want to add.
You will see that to the right of each song you have a “+” icon to add them. You can add as many songs as you want. Keep in mind that you must add at least 15 songs. If you add fewer songs, Spotify randomly adds more songs to complete it, respecting the same genre of music.
Once you have created a playlist with your favorite songs, Spotify gives you the option to share them with your friends and family.
If you’re not sure if that’s the song you’re looking for, you can click on the avatar to the left of the name to play 10 seconds of the song to make sure it’s the right one.
How to edit a playlist on Spotify
If in the future you want to add more songs to your playlist, you can do it, it’s very simple. One way to do this is to go back to the playlist you want to edit from the library, remember you have the icons at the bottom of the screen. Click on it and then on the three points that you have in the upper right corner to see the options menu.
There you can add more songs, change the name, delete it, share it, or do collaborative. In this case we are going to select “Add songs”. Again click on the search bar and write the name of the song you want to add and then on the “+” icon to add them.
Another way to do it is from the main screen, doing a search directly. Click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen. Write the name of the song or artist.
You will see different playlists where you can find what you are looking for, some created by Spotify and others by artists and other collaborators. Click on any of them to see the available songs.
To add the song, click on the icon of the three points that you have to the right of each song and choose “Add to playlist”. You will have a new screen where you can see all the playlists you have created.
Just search for the playlist by name by scrolling down through the different playlists you’ve created. In addition, you have the option to create a new one, in case you consider it necessary.
If you want to add a new playlist, just click on the green button that you have at the top of the “New playlist” screen. Write a name to be able to identify it later and when finished press “Create”.
