The best way to organize your day-to-day life at any job is to use an email address, with Gmail being one of the best options due to the large number of options it offers to remember, snooze, respond to emails, as well as offering the possibility of creating lists of tasks associated with email.
However, users who work through social networks, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, in real chaos if the volume of messages is very high.
For many users, Instagram has become their main means of communication, both with family and friends, strangers and even with companies if we talk about the so-called influencers. This forces them to manage a large number of messages through the application as if it were a mailbox, which, in the long run, can lead to chaos in the organization.
The solution that Instagram proposes and that the well-known applications analyst Alessandro Paluzzi has discovered, is to use folders, as if it were a Windows directory or the management that we can configure on any email platform to classify messages, although the proposal Instagram will work automatically.
Folders arrive on Instagram to organize messages
This leaker has published in his Threads account, a screenshot of what message management would look like in Folders within the Instagram application.
The number of folders to manage Instagram messages would initially be 6: 2 by default and 4 by the system.
- Main: Messages that the application considers as priority based on their content will be displayed here. The user can change the name of this folder to any other, but not the type of content they receive. Notifications for this folder will be activated.
- General. Emails that Instagram does not consider a priority for the user will be received here, once again, based on the platform’s analysis of them. You can also change the name of the folder and its notifications will be disabled.
- All. The rest of the messages received in the account will be displayed here, except for those that include words that we have silenced or blocked. This folder cannot be renamed.
- Of advertisements. The platform’s announcement messages will be displayed in this folder and cannot be renamed.
- Requests. As we can deduce from the name, within this folder all chat requests from Instagram accounts that we do not follow will be displayed.
If this test that Instagram is carrying out finally comes to fruition, it will undoubtedly be excellent news for all intensive users of this platform, since it will allow them to manage everything related to their account in a simpler way, with all the classified messages, which will make it much more difficult for us to respond to all of them.
