If you like movies and usually use Pluto TV channels to enjoy movies, you will be happy to know that the television platform is starting a special today that is packed with quality. It arrives at the ideal time, since summer is approaching and we want to enjoy good movies before going to sleep.
They have baptized it as Duel of Stars, and it is a television special that lands on the free channel Pluto TV Cine Estelar. It starts today, June 10, in a little while at 11:00 p.m., so you still have time to finish dinner and lie down on the couch or in bed to watch a good movie.
A movie every day
For now, the broadcast of this special is scheduled between today, June 10 and the 16th of this month. It wouldn’t be bad if Pluto TV made the decision to expand it a little more and thus cover the entire month, although perhaps the problem is that they are missing films of the genre. Because what this special is about is films in which two very important actors appear sharing the story. Hence it has been called the duel of stars.
Keep in mind that, as we said, it is an ideal broadcast for the moment before going to sleep. Since the temperature now invites you to go to bed later, having the movie start at 11:00 p.m. won’t go bad at all. The first of the films is Love at Point Blank, an unforgettable film in which Patricia Arquette and Christian Slater live a story full of action and tension. If you haven’t seen it, you should know that it is a film directed by the legendary Tony Scott and co-written by Quentin Tarantino himself.

Starting today, every day at eleven at night we are going to have an appointment with Pluto TV. If the first film is essential, we have to say exactly the same about the second. Thus, tomorrow Tuesday it will be the turn of Before Nightfall, where we change genre radically, but the interpretive quality is maintained. This time the protagonists will be Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, who wrap up the third installment of the Before saga in a way that you will not forget.
The following days we will have more quality cinema. On June 12 it will be the turn to enjoy a romantic story titled Two Lovers, where Gwyneth Paltrow and Joaquin Phoenix provide performances that will drive their followers crazy. A day later it will be time to return to action with Brothers, the film starring Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal accompanied by Tobey Maguire. But if these films have still left you wanting more movies, take note, since on Friday, June 14, we will be able to delight in the face-to-face work of Robert De Niro and the also legendary Al Pacino. We will see them together side by side in Just Murder, where they play two detectives who, about to retire, are reunited with an old case that requires their full attention.
As you can imagine, seeing two greats like Pacino and De Niro together is a delight for film lovers, so there will surely be many viewers in front of the screen on Friday. For its part, on Saturday, June 15, it will be the turn to see the unforgettable Elizabethtown with Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom, a film that had a lot of popularity in its day. And lastly, the film that will close the special will be Miss Julia, starring the famous Jessica Chastain and Colin Farrell.
