To give even more hype to one of its upcoming releases, Prime Video has announced the names of the Hollywood professionals who are going to meet for the production. And you can see that the project not only looks excellent, but will also feature the work of some of the biggest stars of the seventh art.
A few months ago the Prime Video series Secret Level was announced. It is prepared as an anthology in which many of the stories from some of the most famous video games in history will be adapted into animated format. We had the opportunity to talk about it before and the truth is that the project already looked fabulous, but now with these titans of Hollywood it is even more attractive.
Big Hollywood stars
Of course, the names of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Keanu Reeves are the ones that capture the most interest in Secret Level, but there are many other Hollywood celebrities who have also been involved in the anthology. For example, we know that Kevin Heart will also participate, the comedian whom you have surely seen in more than one film since he is a regular at the box office. Above all, we have seen him co-starring in different films with Dwayne Johnson, such as the two installments of the recent version of Jumanji.
Other Hollywood celebrities who will voice characters in the anthology include Gabriel Luna, Ariana Greenblatt, Temuera Morrison, Emily Swallow and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. All of them are known for having appeared in internationally famous series and films, such as The Last of Us in several of these names or in the Star Wars series. The voice cast that has been revealed also includes: Heaven Hart, Ricky Whittle, Merle Dandrige, Clive Standen, Claudia Doumit, Michael Beach and Laura Bailey. In addition, Patrick Schwarzenegger will also participate, so we will possibly get to hear father and son in the same story of the anthology. It remains to be seen what roles they will play, although it would be very legendary if Schwarzenegger Sr. plays Kratos from God of War.
What games will be part of the anthology?
In total there are 15 episodes, although the number of games that will be represented in the series will be higher. The reason for this is that one of the chapters will be dedicated to the world of PlayStation in general, so it is expected to see many of its characters sharing time on screen. In addition to that episode, there will also be others inspired by the robot game Armored Core, Sony’s failed project, Concord, Crossfire, Exodus, Honor of Kings or Dungeons & Dragons.
Other episodes of the anthology will bring back legendary classics such as Pac-Man, while there will also be a Mega Man chapter. In addition, there will be no shortage of episodes from New World: Aeternum, Spelunky, Unreal Tournament, Sifu, The Outer Worlds and Warhammer 40,000. The selection is varied and inspired, although it can be seen that there are a large number of titles corresponding to shooters or fantasy worlds. However, the anthology is being created by those responsible for Love, Death & Robots, the great Netflix hit that became famous throughout the world. That gives us enough confidence to know that, barring any surprises, Secret Level will become one of the best Prime Video releases in recent months.
Furthermore, of course, the fact that actors like Keanu Reeves or Arnold Schwarzenegger have decided to get involved in the project, whether with more or less extended roles, is an additional seal of trust. It will premiere on December 10, 2024 and the reality is that we are counting the days until we have the opportunity to vibrate with the first episode.
