The tool par excellence for creating and editing texts, without a doubt, is Microsoft Word. This is an extremely complete tool, very easy to use and intuitive, which is why it is preferred by most users. But something quite typical in Word is that when entering an image all the text is out of place, although we will explain how to avoid it.

One of Microsoft’s best tools is its Office office suite. It has high quality programs, with countless functions and that are really easy to use (at a basic level) for any type of user.

Word stands out among all, whose main functions and actions are easy to understand and use for most users. The learning curve is really gentle, which is why it is the quintessential application for creating and editing texts. But there are also some seemingly simple things that can be frustrating.

Enter a photo in Word without disturbing the entire document

Something quite common when we edit or develop a text is, precisely, to focus on writing. It is usually common to leave the task of introducing images that enrich the document at the end. But, when you add the image, the entire structure of the content ends up out of whack.

Word offers different style options for including images within a document. A feature that many new users are unaware of. What this causes in the user is frustration, since it is found that all the previous work loses the established structure.

Solving the problem is not complicated, you just have to follow these steps:

  1. Add an image, the one you consider fits with the text.
  2. Right click on the image.
  3. Within the menu that opens, we go to the “Adjust text” option.
  4. Next, within the submenu that opens, we must choose the “Transparent” option.

This is the easiest way to perfectly square text and image in Word. The text adapts perfectly to the image and if we change the text, it will adapt automatically. As normal, the rest of the text will move to adapt to the image we have entered, since it takes up space.

You should know that this feature is only available for the desktop version, whether Windows or macOS. This means that the online version of Word does not offer this possibility. It allows you to simply fit a paragraph to the image and not all the text. This is a problem, since it never fits perfectly. You will see that a large blank space always appears, something that looks truly horrible.

Once you have the text ready and you consider that you have finished the layout, it is always good to review it. In the end, adding images can throw off some of the content. Above all, it will affect page breaks, potentially causing one or more lines of text to hang on a sheet.

You can always adjust the image size a little to solve the problem. But now, adding images that enrich the document should no longer be a problem.
