Although companies are becoming more and more transparent and informing us via SMS or email of any new services we subscribe to, it is still possible that we activate some of them without realizing it and this generates an unexpected charge on our bill. We tell you how to avoid this.
Mobile operators offer different services to their users that are activated through a subscription. Although companies are increasingly transparent and inform us about this subscription via email or SMS, it may happen that we activate some of them without realizing it. This could generate a charge on our bill that may not be included in our personal finances.
To avoid this, at Vodafone we have the option of Check all subscriptions that we have activated at any given time in a dedicated section on their website. By accessing it, we will be able to avoid the classic subscriptions by mistake and, in addition, in the case that we have several of them enabled, deactivate them at once.
Check your subscriptions
To know all the subscriptions, registrations and purchases made to external services that may generate an extra charge on the bill, we have to access this link and enter our Vodafone username and the password that we use to log in as usual.
Once we access this address, we will have to click on the “Subscriptions” button found within “Your products and services”. Here we will be able to find all the information about those services we have contracted, as well as the cost of each of them.
If we detect that we have an active service that we did not know about or that we are no longer interested in, we will be able to individually or collectively cancel all the subscriptions that we have enabled. Remember that if we cancel any of them, we will be able to continue using it until the next renewal date from the subscription. Therefore, cancelling the subscription does not imply the immediate loss of access to it.
More options
In addition to cancelling the services we are not interested in, from the subscriptions tab we can also restrict mobile payments so that we cannot make more purchases over the Internet if we click “Restrict subscriptions”.
In addition, from the “Entertainment” page we will be able to find out all the added services that Vodafone has contemplated and that allow us to use the different platforms with which it has some type of collaboration and that allow us to register directly from our application, without having to go to each of these services separately. The positive aspect of carrying out the contract through this route is that the cost of these services, If there is one, it is directly integrated into our invoice, making it a much more convenient solution as everything is unified and controlled and does not depend on several invoices at different times of the month.
