Over the years, the software giant Microsoft has tried to avoid anything related to piracy in its products at all costs. This is something that becomes especially clear when we talk about the Windows system or the productivity suite, Office, both of which are familiar to most.
The truth is that the latest versions of these projects developed and distributed by Microsoft have greatly improved to prevent potential hacking. Hence, most users have their own activation key to be able to use all the functions of the operating system, Windows. However, it may also be the case that we have had some problems, something more common than we would like, when carrying out said activation of the system.
In fact, it could be said that the problems related to all of this are more on the agenda than we would like. Precisely for all this, the company provides us with various ways to help us solve this bug and be able to activate our operating system as soon as possible. We must bear in mind that Windows is not exactly cheap software, so once we have paid for it, we want to have it up and running as soon as possible.
If we have problems in this regard, it is important to know that we can establish a chat session with support through our browser so that they can resolve the error. Likewise, we also have access to a telephone number provided by Microsoft itself as support. Precisely delving into this, below, we will talk about a somewhat surreal situation that occurred when trying to activate a Windows license. This was experienced by a South African Windows user and he told it on Twitter.
Microsoft activates Windows with a crack
As the client of the popular operating system tells us, when trying to activate his copy of Windows 10 that he purchased in the official store, the Microsoft Store, he could not. At that point, as perhaps some of you have already done on occasion, he made the decision to contact the firm’s support.
Therefore, and to solve the error with the license, it was connected through the Quick Assist tool provided by the software giant. And, unfortunately, sometimes when we type the product key into the system, the operation can fail. This is what happened to this user, so he contacted Microsoft itself through its official support.
At that point, it was agreed that a Microsoft support engineer would log into the South African citizen’s system using Quick Assist to resolve the activation issue. The curious thing about all this happened then, something that the Windows client surely did not expect. And it is according to his post on Twitter, which he documented with two screenshots, that the Microsoft engineer executed a PowerShell script to obtain another activation script from a well-known website to crack Windows, the crack known as MAS.
Thus, the aforementioned Windows activation script was downloaded and executed on the user’s system. How could it be otherwise, as a result Windows 10 was activated and the problem was solved. Soon after, the user contacted the owner of the script’s website, stating that this was not the first time Microsoft’s official support had used it.
