SkyShowtime continues to announce a batch of new productions and premieres that it will receive in the coming months and that pave the way for its continued growth. Not only will it have great series, but also films that will be released in streaming through its service and even a documentary series based on the case of Daniel Sancho.

SkyShowtime is constantly expanding its content repertoire and wants users, both those who are already subscribed and those who may be attracted to the platform, to be impressed with its new features. And the truth is that, taking a look at everything they have just announced, the near future is set to be very attractive. Keep an eye on SkyShowtime because it has no intention of slowing down.

After Yellowstone, The Madison will arrive

Yellowstone, the series created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, has become one of the pillars of the content offered by SkyShowtime to its subscribers. The work of actors such as Kevin Costner and the script, driven by a perfect way of narrating the events, has led to the popularity of the series being extreme. For this reason, SkyShowtime has revealed that, after the end of Yellowstone in the fifth season, the current one, they will also premiere the sequel: The Madison. It will be available to watch in 2025 and will star Michelle Pfeiffer. In addition, they will premiere the second season of 1923, with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

But not only that, but, following what other platforms and producers have done with their most successful content, SkyShowtime will premiere another extra from the Yellowstone universe. It will be titled Yellowstone 150 and it will be a documentary in which Kevin Costner himself will tell us everything we need to know about the park, as well as many other interesting details.

Other news that are on the way

Of course, Yellowstone is only going to be one of SkyShowtime’s main content streams for the foreseeable future. The platform has a large repertoire of upcoming releases that will benefit, above all, from having access to content from NBC Universal, Paramount and Sky Studios. We know that The Agency is coming, a thriller series in which we will see Michael Fassbender alongside other very well-known actors, such as Richard Gere, Jodie Turner-Smith and Jeffrey Wright.

Upcoming releases will also include Happy Face in 2025, a production where Dennis Quaid plays the role of a serial killer, and Dexter: Resurrection, the new installment of the famous saga. Added to this is the third season of Yellowjackets, the series Lockerbie: A Search for Truth in 2025 starring Colin Firth, and the Spanish production A Recipe for Murder. This documentary series will be based on what happened to Daniel Sancho, which you are sure to know very well, but presented in a different way, going in depth, over the course of five parts, into both people involved.

If we talk about movies, in addition to titles like Kung Fu Panda 4 that were already announced, they add IF (October 30 in Spain), Back to Black and the fun The Fall Guy (November 30 in Spain) starring the famous Ryan Gosling and also known as The Specialist. With these new releases, the platform’s executives mention that they continue with their philosophy of expanding their catalog through essential series and continuing with those franchises that are succeeding. They specifically give the example of The Agency and Lockerbie: A Search for Truth as new productions that users should be very attentive to in view of the quality they boast. Along with everything we have already mentioned throughout the news, there will be the following future releases:

  • Abigail (November)
  • A quiet place: Day 1 (December)
  • Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (December 2)
  • Hysteria! (October 28)
  • Our Son (December 8)
  • Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 (undated)
  • Sweetpea (2025)

The service also comments that they are very pleased with the expansion of local content that they are going to start carrying out with the premiere of the Spanish production A Recipe for Murder. There will be more and more locally produced series in order to give the platform an additional boost of interest that will make its popularity in different areas of Europe increase considerably. In relation to this, they comment that they intend to add between 8 and 10 locally produced titles in what remains of this year 2024.
