Movistar Plus+ subscribers now have a new way to immerse themselves in the world of sports and thus enjoy their favorite discipline more. Of course, it includes football, but also the other sports that the operator gives space to in its extensive programming.

The service offered by Movistar Plus+ is always looking for new ways to please users and provide them with superior performance. We can see this frequently and it is something that subscribers appreciate, since it is clear that Movistar continues to encourage the enjoyment of news. In this case, they give a boost to the way we get into sports.

Improved summaries

What Movistar Plus+ has recently incorporated is a new version of its sports summaries. The objective is for users to be up to date with all the matches that are broadcast and the different competitions that may interest them. Sometimes it is not easy to follow everything, since there are many games and there are a large number of matches to watch or know how they ended. And the reality is that there is no time to see everything live.

Sometimes those games overlap each other, and in other cases we simply don’t want to watch the full games because we might not be as interested in them. Therefore, summaries have always been something of the most interesting. That is why it is positive to see that Movistar Plus+ has perfected them with the intention of offering better content.

What do they offer and what sports do they cover?

These improved summaries are available from the Sports section of the Movistar Plus+ interface. Once inside, we must go to the Summaries section. There you can choose between four main sports to access summaries of the matches, events or competitions that have ended. In addition to football, the sports that are covered are basketball, tennis and golf, which could be said to be the major disciplines with the greatest relevance among Movistar Plus+ viewers.

When you click on one of the sports, the interface will show you a navigation bar in which it is divided depending on the competition to which the summaries belong. So, for example, in Football you have “Everything” to see the latest summaries, but you also have the opportunity to select different options such as LaLiga EA Sports, Liga Hypermotion, Copa América, Champions League or Europa League. By being able to filter summaries with such ease, the system ensures that you don’t have to spend extra time and can get straight to the point. This form of division also applies to other sports. For example, the navigation bar for basketball summaries will be divided into three sections: the NBA, the Endesa League and the Euroleague. That way, like in football, the summaries will be truly accessible.

Something important to keep in mind is that Movistar has enhanced its technology so that summaries can be available even faster than usual. Due to this, shortly after finishing the matches, the summaries are already available, bringing together the best moments of the matches. These summaries can last up to a maximum of 10 minutes, the duration being parallel to the number of moments of interest that have been recorded in each of the matches. When it comes down to it, the summaries are far superior to those offered by other platforms, such as RTVE Play, where they tend to be shorter and lack a lot of content.

This novelty follows the good line of Movistar Plus+ to promote sport. For example, a few weeks ago the operator also announced that it had introduced Flash content in basketball, having been, until now, an exclusive feature of football. Thus, as we told you, very good intentions are being seen to give sport much more prominence in the service.
