The Christmas season is approaching, Mariah Carey is defrosting to sing her All I Want for Christmas again and we are browsing the Christmas movies present in the catalogs of the main streaming platforms in Spain. Whether to watch with family, friends or on our own, there are many Christmas movies that, beyond serving as guilty pleasures, also have their quality and are comforting due to the nostalgia they emit.

In this sense, the Twitter user @PaulaRemi has recently shared a post in which he lists the films from this era that we will have available in Spain for this December. We already know that the platforms’ tape catalogs change over time, as rights expire or are renewed, so it’s not a bad idea to take a look and see some of the ones we like the most just in case next Christmas is no longer available.

The tweeter shares about three lists with movies from Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+, three of the most popular platforms today (although let’s not forget to turn to the Catalan Filmin for other high-quality options). His post has accumulated more than 3 thousand retweets and more than 29 thousand likes, which shows that, in the face of the enormous avalanche of content on the Internet, users continue to highly value recommendations that help them quickly recognize good options and thus save search time.

Below, we mention 10 titles from each platform that are part of these lists, which you can review for yourself in the attached images shared by Paula. And, if you’re looking for more recommendations on what to stream, remember that you can always use the ADSLZone article search to find other recommendations and lists.

Christmas movies on Disney+

The platforms are aware of the great pull of Christmas movies, and that is why they try to fill their catalogs with enough seasonal titles so that their subscribers do not lack what to see. Christmas specials from well-known franchises also stand out: on Disney+ we have many titles of this type, such as Mickey Mouse or Star Wars movies.

Some of the best films we can see, however, are not those designed primarily in relation to the Christmas atmosphere, but due to their innate characteristics and comforting atmosphere they are perfect for this time of year. Examples of this would be Edward Scissorhands or Die Hard.

On the other hand, Prime Video and Netflix stand out more for their large number of romantic comedies, such as Love Actually or Something from Tiffany’s.
