Podcasts have become, in recent years, one of the best methods to be informed of the topics that interest us the most, be it day-to-day news, thematic programs on series or movies, on history, current events, computer science, humor among others. It is, we could say, the same as a radio program, but in downloadable format and that we can listen to whenever and wherever we want.

It is very easy to publish, as well as being free, which is why many users want to share their knowledge and create their own podcast. The number of tools available specifically created to create podcasts has increased a lot and some even allow us to edit the audio using the audio transcription, as if it were a Word document.

The latest developer to want to try their hand at the podcast world is Adobe. Being Adobe one of the computer giants, its entry into the world of podcasts is done through the front door, since they include this function, the function of editing audio files as if they were Word files, using the transcription to remove the parts of the audio that we are not interested in, a function that is available in other podcast applications under a subscription.

Edit podcast via text

According to Adobe, this new tool is not specifically designed to create podcasts, but to tell stories. Adobe’s tool does not include the traditional wave chart panels or decibel level that we can find in applications that are used to edit audio such as Audible. The important thing in a podcast is what is said and how it is said. If we are starting to create this type of audio, the Adobe tool can be perfect, but we will have to use it with other audio editing applications if we want to add a tune at the beginning or end as well as background music.

Edit Adobe Podcast

All the people who are part of the podcast, if there is more than one, will receive an invitation that they must accept just like any other application to make video calls to start recording while the text is transcribed in real time. This new tool also includes a function that allows you to improve speech, a function that is responsible for eliminating background noise and raising the volume of the interlocutors to offer a more professional and much better quality result.

This new Adobe feature works through any browser, so there’s no need to download and install any app. According to Adobe, they are working to add new features in the future to meet the needs of podcast professionals. This new platform is currently available on a beta basis and first of all we must request access to start using the platform through the following link. We just need to have an Adobe account to sign up for the service and start using it.
