If you’ve been waiting to see Boruto: Naruto Next Generations until now, we have good news for you: the dub is coming soon. In a matter of a few days we will be able to see this series that continues the Naruto universe dubbed into Spanish and which, until now, we had only seen with subtitles.
Since it premiered in 2018, we were looking forward to having the opportunity to follow the adventures of Boruto, Naruto’s son, with Spanish dubbing. And you can say that it has taken a long time, but we are finally a hair’s breadth away from giving ourselves a good marathon of episodes. It will be from June 25, at which time it will make its debut on the AnimeBox streaming platform.
A highly anticipated premiere
The news was given by Selecta Visión, which is in charge of the streaming platform where it premieres and which, increasingly, is trying to shape a service that attracts all anime fans. It is obvious that they still have a long way to go to reach the volume of content that Crunchyroll has, but it cannot be said that they are not looking forward to it.
While they continue with Naruto Shippuden, a series of which we are still receiving dubbed episodes, Selecta did not want to wait to bring the dubbed version of Boruto. We think it’s a fantastic proposal, especially considering that, in this way, subscribers will have another series to keep an eye on to receive new chapters. We do not know how many episodes of Boruto there will be on premiere day, but it is expected that the publication will be progressive.
Worthy successor to Naruto
Boruto arrived with doubts about whether it would be able to reach the levels of popularity of its predecessor. And, although he has never reached the greatness of Naruto for obvious reasons, the truth is that he has defended himself very well. Over the years, until its end in 2023, it had a total of 293 episodes. Now there are going to be chapters that we can also enjoy in Spanish and thus continue with the legend of Naruto a little more.
With this premiere, AnimeBox is making a name for itself in the Spanish market. Its price of 3.99 euros per month helps make it an economical platform and, as we told you, little by little it is receiving more and more content. In addition to Boruto, we also did not forget to mention that the premiere of Dragon Ball Z Kai with Spanish dubbing is on the way, although we will still have to wait a little because the goal of Selecta Visión is for these chapters to be shown in theaters first.
However, AnimeBox’s strategy is good. In addition to recent series, the platform is choosing to rely on shonen classics in one way or another. Naruto will team up with Boruto in the AnimeBox catalog and, in parallel, we will be able to see the remake of Dragon Ball Z that has aroused so much interest and that we so wanted to see dubbed in our language.
If this quality of releases continues and more back catalog anime arrive along with other legendary series, it is very clear that the platform will be able to reach many users. Nor should we forget that, like other services, it offers an annual subscription with which we can save two months’ monthly payment, which is not bad either. And it even has a free account which gives access to a few specific contents in case we really want to watch anime and don’t want to spend anything on it.
