As the months go by, many users are beginning to realize that Artificial Intelligence is going to be increasingly useful in their favorite applications. Of course, this is something that will reach programs of the magnitude of Microsoft Word, as we will see now.

And Microsoft is betting heavily on everything related to AI, which little by little is reaching most of its platforms and applications. Now we are going to talk about a new functionality that is being added to the powerful text editor of the firm that most of you know more than enough, Word.

Specifically, we are referring to a new feature that they have called Coaching with Copilot that will be part of the aforementioned Microsoft Word. Basically we could say that its main function is to help us revise and rewrite our text content here. This is an announcement that the software giant has just made public and that will be extremely useful for regulars of the program.

Coaching with Copilot allows us to review and rewrite the documents we work on so that they are clearer, all depending on the audience they are intended for. In this way, and using the company’s own AI, the technology will suggest a series of changes to make to our project. Obviously, we will always have the possibility of deciding whether to accept them or dispense with Copilot at that moment.

We must take into consideration that when we launch the function, the suggestions are independent of their content, that is, Coaching with Copilot will not overwrite by default.

This is how Coaching with Copilot works in Word

The new AI feature that will be part of the text editor is also capable of giving us advice for a specific part of a document. All this using Copilot by default. To do this, all we have to do is select the text in question and press a button for Artificial Intelligence to start working in MS Word.

Even to be more productive in this regard, we can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt + I to open the Copilot menu and select the get help option.

At this point, it is important to note that at the moment there is no way to directly apply Copilot’s suggestions from the new tool’s dialog box. That is why Microsoft is working to incorporate this functionality in the future.

Something we should also know is that this new function we told you about to make our texts in Word clearer is not yet available to everyone. At the moment Microsoft is launching it as an early preview only for users with subscriptions to Microsoft 365 Copilot or Copilot Pro. What’s more, at the moment it only works in those programs configured in the English language.

But of course, it is expected that in the coming weeks it will be compatible with more languages and will also be extended to countries around the world. And Coaching with Copilot will be a very valuable tool for text content creators, helping them improve their writing and ensure that their message is clearer.
