Follow football news with apps
The main reason to follow the football news with apps is that you are immediately notified when a goal is scored, or when there is important news about your club. One aspect of that is tracking football transfers, but much more is happening in the world of football. From suspensions to injuries and from new trainers to riots. If you have the right app on your iPhone or iPad, you know exactly what’s going on.

If you prefer to follow the football standings, we have a separate list for that.
Football transfers and other football news
During the transfer window, footballers have the chance to change clubs. In the summer the transfer window is 12 weeks and during the winter break there are a further 4 weeks for players to transfer. Only if the transfer market is open during this period can clubs buy and sell players. The transfer periods differ per country.
Actually, the KNVB, the football trainers and the clubs would prefer to see the transfer period shorter, because while the competition has already started, the players can still change clubs. The players and the football agents obviously think differently: they want to have the opportunity to switch to a more lucrative contract until the last moment. If you want to follow all transfers and get notified immediately when your favorite player transfers, you need apps. We discuss them in this list. Of the apps we discuss here, Forza Football is the least strong in news, but on the other hand you can follow player transfers well.
Football International
Voetbal International offers a very complete app, in which you will find all the current news, supplemented with stories behind the news. You will receive every whistle with this app, promises VI. Thanks to the many journalists and club watchers that VI employs, you are immediately up to date. You can participate in the community and view the standings and scores of more than 75 competitions. You can also follow the live matches in the app and via notifications. You will be presented with new football videos and audio fragments every day.
Many items are provided with photos and tweets, so that you can continue reading there. If you browse to the club information, you can see a ‘Passport’ per player with personal information, a list of previous transfers and club history and news about the player in question. If you want to know how a specific player is doing, it is best to keep an eye on this page.
Forza Football
Forza Football has been working for years as a live score app for football matches. The app also offers football news, although it is mainly in English. On the My Teams and My Players tabs, press Customize, add your favorites and get direct access to the overview page. You can see which club a player is currently with and other statistics.
On every team page you will find important news about the club. The newest messages are conveniently at the top and you can immediately see from which source the message comes and how likely it is that the transfer will actually take place. Forza Football keeps you informed of important news about your club via push notifications.
Onefootball
If you are more interested in international football news, then you must have Onefootball. This app shows football news and scores, highlights, transfers, statistics and videos. You will also find player profiles in the app. Of course there is sufficient attention for transfer news and rumors during the transfer period.
You will even find a separate tab for this, after you have set up your favorite clubs. With tabs at the top of the screen you can easily filter for My Teams, Top (Messi of course) and All.
Football zone
The Dutch football website Voetbalzone also has its own app. You select a favorite team so that you can receive important notifications, but the app also has separate overviews for the latest news. With the In pictures section you can see the news in pictures, for example with players who are now free transfer. But more convenient is the overview of the latest news, in which you can clearly see with flags which competition or from which news the country is concerned.
Of course you will also find news about football players in most football standings apps.
