Google is one of the giants in the world of technology. This company offers us not only multifunctional tools, but also works on a daily basis to provide its users with the best programs and applications for work or daily life.
A great way to exemplify this is how widely used the Google Drive Backup and Sync system has become.
This option helps us store multiple files from our mobile phone, to any PC or Mac device. Thanks to its functionality, we can have easy access to our files, regardless of where we are and safely.
All the content that we have stored in your cloud, we can recapitulate it in a simple way, with a backup of files which will always be shared within Google Drive.
It is possible that on some occasions, you will find several errors when synchronizing. Manual or automatic, there may be errors that frustrate you, but nevertheless, it is not something so difficult to fix, and here we will explain in detail, which is the best solution for these problems, so do not wait any longer and create an account in Google Drive so you can start this process.
Reactivate Google Drive sync
This is one of the first options you can take, as it is quite effective if the problem turns out to be superficial. This step consists of stopping and reactivating the synchronization task. This is because if there is any kind of connection problem, it will be easily repaired. To do so you must do the following:
- Start by pressing the Google Drive icon. You can find it in the taskbar and you will recognize it, since it has the same colors as all Google products, and it logs in to Drive.
- Once you have entered, you must locate yourself within the menu in Google Drive and look for the “Do not synchronize” option. Once you have found it, you must press it.
- Once you have pressed it, you must wait a reasonable period of time, and then reactivate said synchronization.
If you have followed these steps, you will see that all your documents will start to sync correctly and the error will have disappeared.
Running backup and sync as primary administrator.
On many occasions, folder synchronization problems within Google Drive occur because the phone itself has not fully granted all the permissions that the system requires. If with the previous steps, the error continues to appear within the synchronization, this is an ideal step to rule out said error, caused by the system of our mobile.
To solve it, you just have to locate us inside the application and access its main settings. There we will see a list of options and tabs in which we must locate ourselves on the one that says: Run as administrator. And that’s it, it will only be enough to restart your mobile phone, to verify if this has taken effect and the error has disappeared.
Restart the app
This is an option that you can take as a last resort. It is possible that the error occurs due to an internet connection problem and it has been misconfigured. The best way to fix this error is to restart the Backup app and turn sync back on.
In order to do this, we just have to press the Sync icon and, going to the main menu, select “Exit backup and synchronization”. After having done this, it only remains to exit the panel, return to the start menu and after that access it again from there.
With these steps, all those synchronization problems will be solved or, failing that, completely eliminated. You will see that this can happen a couple of times, but it is not usually an internal problem, but rather, a failure at the connection level.
