In these times we try to take all kinds of measures to protect our devices and stored data against the dreaded hacks. Technology has greatly improved the protection systems available, but conventional passwords are still the most common method.

We say all this because at this time we can use different protection methods, for example biometric access systems. However, the alphanumeric passwords that we type are usually the common system in most cases. That is precisely why experts recommend that we pay special attention when defining these keys that we are mentioning.

Among the basic advice that they usually give us, it is recommended to use passwords that are as complex as possible, and never repeat the same one on several platforms. Due to the complexity of memorizing the enormous amount of passwords that we use today, it is advisable to use a password manager. These programs allow us to store these security elements, conveniently encrypted and protected, through a master key.

In this way we make sure to keep all our passwords safe and we will only have to remember one of them. However, we are never safe from possible hacks or leaks that may occur and put our private data at risk. Here it is very important that we choose well the different passwords that we are going to use on all types of equipment and programs.

But despite our efforts, we are always at risk due to the technologies used by malicious actors. Maybe in this case the really important thing is to try to make it as difficult as possible, and below we will show you a very simple trick that will be of enormous help to you.

Use the letter ñ in all your passwords

Attackers currently have highly powerful methods, equipment and software to decrypt the most complex passwords. A very important factor here is the time spent figuring out those keys. Therefore, as many security experts now tell us, we should try to add the letter ñ in all our passwords.

And as many of you already know, it is exclusive to the language of Cervantes, and is also quite unusual. Therefore, even the most advanced password hacking systems can ignore this character, especially if the hack comes from foreign sources. Although it is possible to type ñ on non-Spanish keyboards, its use is quite uncommon.

With all this, what we do not mean is that we use Spanish words with ñ as access codes to our platforms and equipment. This would also pose a risk. The best we can do is use this letter in words that do not contain it, which makes it very difficult to hack by specialized methods for these tasks.

We could take the aforementioned character as a special one to complicate things for malicious actors who want to take over our private data or access our devices.
