Using the hashtag #AdiósING, thousands of users are organizing through social networks to massively cancel their accounts with the orange entity. The reason? A rather clumsy gesture on the part of ING Direct, which would have asked its media agency not to broadcast advertising during the programs Horizon and Fourth Millenniumby Iker Jiménez, while he has kept it in the media of his competitors. We tell you.

ING Direct made a drastic decision last weekend: ask his media agency not broadcast advertising of the entity during the Fourth Millennium and Horizon. Both, directed by the well-known presenter, Iker Jimenez. One of the journalists who has offered the most coverage on the DANA that has affected the province of Valencia.

A rather clumsy move on the part of the Dutch entity, which made the decision as a consequence of “the controversy generated in recent days”, alluding to alleged false information about the number of bodies that could be found in the underground parking lot of the Bonaire Shopping Center and that, in the end, was denied once the interior of the parking lot was reviewed. In addition to the controversy generated by his former collaborator, Rubén Gisbert, when he was discovered getting mud on himself seconds before starting a live connection – a move that was criticized by Iker Jiménez himself and that also cost him his dismissal.

They ask for the head of Iker Jiménez

Iker Jimenez, In one of his regular appearances on YouTube, he broadcast a video on his channel with the title “They ask for my head” which reported that “the competition communication group” would have requested the Government to withdraw institutional advertising as a measure of pressure due to the misinformation of which it is accused. As confirmed by the fact that he is accused “of being the greatest bulero in the kingdom”, for the reasons previously explained.

Jiménez already explained at the time that he was happy “I sincerely believe that the sources who informed me that there were bodies on Bonaire were wrong”, admitting that the information he had had not been, in the end, real. But confirming that the sources that “they cheated” were “officers”.

Despite this, there have been many programs from the Atresmedia network that have focused on criticize misinformation propagated by Iker Jiménez’s programs. Despite the fact that the latter has repeatedly admitted his joy at having made a mistake in trusting his sources.

ING Direct has failed to measure the consequences

ING Direct made the clumsy decision to remove your advertising of the media already mentioned, although it would be maintained in the rest of the programs that are part of this same group. The Dutch bank, which alluded to its own marketing policies to explain the ill-advised decision, seems to have not measured how it should have done the impact of taking such a measure in a situation as sensitive as the one we are facing.

Its effects have been immediate: thousands of clients of the orange company are sharing on social networks the massive cancellation of accounts, which would have put ING itself in serious trouble. In fact, during the last hours of the day, many of its clients reported through social networks that the application was preventing the closure of more accounts.

The accusations of “playpen” did not take long to appear, since there are many testimonials from clients that not only confirm that they cannot close their accounts. Furthermore, they cannot withdraw their money and send it to other entities. A situation that has caused an unprecedented fire on the internet, as we can see in the different screenshots that we attach in this same article, which already reach several thousand mentions on social networks.

🔴SERIOUS SCANDAL‼️
It is reported that ING has imposed a CORRALITO on its clients and WILL NOT ALLOW them to withdraw their money and close their accounts.

After they boycotted Iker Jiménez, is there a massive closure of accounts?

Ángel Gaitán shows his support

The situation is being dramatic for ING Direct, which has seen how its clumsiness has caused an unprecedented flight of customers. Ángel Gaitán himself did not take long to publish a video on his Instagram account in which its first seconds are already a declaration of intentions: “ING, your other bank and every day the one with fewer people.”

The well-known Spanish businessman joins the movement of thousands of other Spaniards, criticizing the ING movement for not supporting the freedom of expression that characterizes the programs directed by Iker Jiménez. Gaitán himself confirms that ING’s decision touches him closely, since he had been a client of the company since it landed in our country, but he has not hesitated to confirm the closure of accounts. Encouraging all his followers to do the same. If at the worst moment in which “brutal” misinformation is being experienced, the only program is punished by removing advertising, the objective is to “sink the program,” says Gaitán.

At the time of writing these lines, the movement is only gaining strength and there are more and more testimonies from all types of users who join Ángel Gaitán and the Iker Jiménez community to continue with the closure of their accounts. At least, as long as the entity continues to allow it.
