Lenovo sweeps HP and Apple in Spain

Lenovo is the leading manufacturer in terms of the percentage of total sales in the PC market in Spain. At the end of the fiscal year, the brand ended up leading the market share in our country, so it is above other competitors such as HP or Apple.

With the close of this year’s fiscal year, Lenovo is positioned above the rest of its competitors in terms of computer sales, such as Apple and HP. It is also above other manufacturers within the professional market, surpassing its main competitor by more than 15 points. So the numbers once again smile on this manufacturer.

More PC sales than other brands

Lenovo closes the last quarter of the 2023/2024 fiscal year with a 30.2% market share in the Spanish PC market. According to the latest data from the consultancy firm IDC, this manufacturer closes the fiscal year leading the Spanish PC market. In addition, one of the positive aspects of this data is that it shows the company’s growth. More than anything because it has risen 5.7 and 2.7 percentage points compared to the previous quarter and the fourth quarter of the previous year.

Alberto Ruano, Lenovo’s general manager for Spain and Portugal, said: “We are very proud to close our fiscal year with such positive figures. This achievement highlights our commitment to innovation and quality, as well as our commitment to private companies and the Public Administration in the field of professional PCs. The PC continues to be the basis of everything we do and the heart of our business.”

On the other hand, the company also leads the professional market. And all because it has a 42.4% share during the last quarter of fiscal year 2023, 15.6 points above its main competitor. Which is a great figure for Lenovo. In addition, this series of data shows the growth of the brand, which registers 8.2% more than the figure for the same quarter of the previous year. Although the most important point is that this figure is the highest that Lenovo has achieved “in the last 9 quarters recorded by the consultancy IDC, thus becoming the absolute leader of the professional PC market in Spain.” As for the market share of consumer computers, it records a figure of 15.9%, even taking into account that the market had a drop of 3.4 percentage points during the last quarter of 2023.

Artificial Intelligence is the key

The recent adoption of AI may have been key to driving growth in the PC market, and the brand is clear that “this will also be the case for the future.” It should be noted that Lenovo launched its first range of PCs with Artificial Intelligence at the beginning of this year, so it represents a major turning point within the industry. And for the brand, in the words of Ruano, it makes clear that “we are in a unique position to lead the industry into a new era of personalized intelligent solutions and services.”
