When you sign up with Digi, you can choose between various fibre speeds and different numbers of gigabytes for mobile Internet, arriving at a personalised price after adjusting the service to what interests you. Well, something very similar will be possible from now on with Lowi.
The low-cost operator of the Vodafone Spain group has launched a new rate creation system with which, based on four model contracts, different prices can be obtained depending on the capacity of the fibre (from 300 Mbps) and the amount of gigabytes contracted for the mobile. In this way, up to 28 variations can be obtained based on these four base rates, the price of which also varies depending on the region in which the customer lives.
What is also reminiscent of Digi in this new proposal is the distinction that Lowi now makes between Vodafone’s own fibre or coverage from another operator. With Digi, users who live in regions where their own fibre network is available (which they call Smart fibre) get better prices than those who have to use Movistar’s network.
Now, Lowi also offers cheaper prices for those who can opt for Vodafone coverage (fibre fit), with a difference of up to 10 euros. Around 10 million homes have access to the Vodafone network.
Starting from 300 Mbps fiber speed, the customer can upgrade to 500 for 3 euros more per month, or upgrade to 1 Gbps for 5 euros more per month.
Hiring Lowi with fit fiber implies a 12-month contract, only 3 months if it is indirect fiber. A WiFi 5 router is installed at the customer’s home.
New May rates
This offer to personalise the contract comes months after the introduction of new rates, with which Lowi lowered the price of its fibre and mobile combination to 20 euros per month for 600 Mbps. However, currently on its website we see that the 600 Mbps rate costs 23 euros, also because they have doubled the gigabytes for mobile from 15 to 25.
The four main rates, without Netflix, as shown on the website, are as follows:
- Fibra fit 300 Mbps + 25 GB on mobile for 20 euros per month
- Fibra fit 600 Mbps + 25 GB on mobile for 23 euros per month
- Fibra fit 600 Mbps + 40 GB on mobile for 26 euros per month
- Fiber fit 1 Gbps + 40 GB on mobile for 28 euros per month
Additional mobile lines can be contracted, with unlimited minutes, for prices between 4 and 12 euros per month depending on the number of GB, which ranges from 5 to 250 GB per month.
