Throughout the last days there is a lot of talk about the new self -deepseek that comes from China. In fact, a good part of the great technological ones now fear for their projects due to the enormous rise of this proposal that has just been launched.

For example, this is the case of 2 companies that have been working on their projects based on artificial intelligence for some time such as Microsoft or Google. The truth is that the IA of Asian origin is causing a huge stir thanks to its open source nature since it is completely free. Hence, a multitude of users worldwide are now launching to prove their benefits and their enormous potential.

Google now bets on its Gemini 2 Flash model

We tell you all this because the searches giant now uses in its intelligent proposal, Gemini, the new Gemini 2 Flash model to obtain a better performance and also without cost to its users. This language model was announced by the company in last December, stating that it exceeded the previous Gemini 1.5 Pro in the main tests.

GEMINI GOOGLE

Keep in mind that Gemini 2 Flash supports multimodal entries, images, video and audio. In turn, it also provides us with all those aforementioned contents, as an output. In these moments Google announces that this Gemini 2 Flash model will become the predetermined model for all users of the Gemini application on the web and in its mobile devices. In this way, what he intends is to compete from you to you with the enormous boom that in these moments is having the aforementioned Deepseek that we were talking about before.

In addition, application developers can already access the Gemini 2 Flash model through AI Studio and VERTEX AI.

Microsoft Copilot Face to Deepseek

For his part, the other technological giant owner of Windows does not want to be left behind in this sector of artificial intelligence. And it is currently that Copilot will offer the OPENAI O1 reasoning model, free for all users. In this case, in last September Openai launched the O1 series of AI models designed to use more time in reasoning before responding.

The advantage of these is that they reason through complex tasks and can solve more difficult problems than others. During the last months the models of the O1 series have been available for chatgpt users with Chatgpt Plus, Pro and Chatgpt Team accounts.

Copilot Windows 11

But in October Microsoft announced a new Copilot Labs function called Think Deper for Copilot Pro users. This function uses the aforementioned OPENAI O1 reasoning models to help users solve difficult problems. Well, at the moment Microsoft announces that this OSper Think function will be free for all Copilot users. This means that O1 reasoning models are now available without any cost.

All this could also be considered as a clear strategy by the technological giant to compete in these moments with Depseek.
