Good news for Movistar Plus+ users, given that two other DTT channels have made the leap to high definition with the intention of providing the best image quality. There are still pending channels, but at least we continue to see that the grid is updated with these new features.
After having recently been in the testing process, two DTT channels corresponding to Mediaset have been updated and are now available in high definition. The process of updating the signal continues, above all, due to the demand of users, who are waiting for the moment when all the channels have already adapted.
Energy and Divinity
The two new channels that you can now see in high definition are these corresponding to Mediaset, which are available on dials 48 and 95 respectively. Both are well known and have a very interesting content grid, so it is good news to know that they have already been adapted so that we can make the most of them.
At Energy the programming is full of great series that benefit greatly from the jump to HD broadcasting. Today, for example, you can test the new image quality with series from the likes of CSI Las Vegas or Magnum PI, both taking turns throughout the night so you can have a good marathon of investigation, criminals and action. But surely we don’t need to tell you about Energy’s programming, since the channel has been active since 2012 and has gained many followers since then.
For its part, Divinity, which was launched in 2011, is another classic among DTT classics. If this channel’s style suits you more, the way to try out the new HD signal will be with the series they broadcast in the next few hours, such as Chicago Fire, The Clone or Braveheart. Also, tonight they broadcast the Cadena Dial 2024 Awards, so you might be interested in enjoying a musical session while you enjoy the channel.
There are more channels in testing
They will possibly arrive soon, since both are from Mediaset. We are talking about Boing and Factoría de Ficción (FDF), whose dials should soon be in HD for the enjoyment of all Movistar Plus+ users. The most curious case is provided by Boing in that the fly that appears on the screen already indicates the HD logo, but then the signal has not yet been updated to this resolution. However, this small mismatch could be indicative that it is only a matter of a few days before the channel has been updated. In the case of FDF, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they end up updating on a similar date.
Along with these Mediaset channels, the Movistar service should soon receive other updated channels in HD. The reason for this is that they are already in the testing phase and, in general, this process does not usually take much longer. Let us remember that, as we said a few weeks ago, channels such as DMAX HD or Paramount Network HD have already passed through the Movistar Plus+ test system.
In any case, the only thing we can do is wait and, in the meantime, continue enjoying the other channels that are in high definition. Movistar is aware, especially from the comments that can be read from users across the network, of the importance of having all channels updated to high definition, so it is surely a matter of time. For now, being able to start watching Energy and Divinity in HD is already excellent news.
