Samsung is one of the most important firms in the smart TV market and, to maintain its leadership, it is improving some aspects that can seriously affect the user experience. It is true that continually receiving updates can be tedious, but it is a way to keep your device working correctly. On this occasion, this new firmware affects a couple of specific models, so if this is your case, do not hesitate to update your Smart TV.

The Samsung television brand has reigned in the sector for 18 consecutive years, and no wonder, after selling 8.3 million units in 2023, only in the QLED range, which is currently the most in demand. This year it continues to present a new batch of models that aim for the revolutionary technology of Artificial Intelligence to monopolize its main functions. And in fact it is already doing it with current Smart TVs.

Likewise, the South Korean company has been dealing with a serious problem that had its users upset and that from now on can be corrected by installing a new patch. Next, we will tell you which models are affected and how to download the update.

Samsung fixes sound cuts

Although Samsung is one of the best television manufacturers, there is no doubt about it, its Achilles heel continues to be the launch of updates that do not work properly. This means that some improvements that are added can be a disaster and what is achieved is to make the situation worse.

The Samsung S95C and S90C models have suffered the fateful consequences that have been dragging on for more than a month after receiving an update that produced sound cuts in some bars and AVRs (receivers that receive audio and video), but without knowing which brands are affected . Specifically, sound issues occurred when using an HDMI device or through internal applications.

After complaints from users, Samsung was forced to carry out a series of checks until it found the key. The United States was the first market to test the new 1410 update, and now it arrives in Europe.

Apparently, the sound cuts in their different configurations have been definitively corrected, so there will no longer be a problem watching your favorite content without having to deal with the headaches that this altercation caused.

How to install the new update?

Unfortunately, this update is not yet available on your Smart TV in the traditional way, that is, through the settings of your television in the software updates section. Its launch is official in Europe, but if you want to eliminate sound cuts, you will have to use another method to install it. To do this, you will have to use your computer.

First of all, it should be noted that the Smart TV models on which you can install this firmware are: Samsung S90C, S92C, S93C and S95C. Once we are clear about this point, we go to our PC and prepare to download the .zip file of the update from this link. Next, unzip the file and copy and paste the T-PTMCDEUC folder and the SWU_AUTO_FLAG file on a pendrive.

Therefore, plug that USB into your TV, which should be turned off. When you turn it on, you will see that the 1410 update is installed automatically, and you will only have to wait a few minutes for it to finish its on and off processes. At this moment, you will be able to enjoy the new additions.
