The SkyShowtime streaming platform has acted quickly after, a few days ago, a great controversy arose around it due to the loss of hundreds of films from its catalogue. Now, the service is reloading with releases at a good pace and users are celebrating that, apparently, the danger has passed.
Surely you remember that, recently, we were talking about the setback that SkyShowtime had suffered due to the drastic reduction in the volume of its catalogue. Now we can say that the tables have turned and that everything is beginning to return to normal. But is it going to be something that lasts?
More than 600 movies available
The rivers return to their course and SkyShowtime earns the applause of the users once again. However, no one escapes that it is one of the streaming platforms that is generating the most crisis due to the strange movements carried out by its catalog. Although on Netflix or Prime Video it is also common for there to be many movies that are deleted to make room for others, it is usually a much more gradual deletion.
Unlike this, on SkyShowtime everything happens in a matter of hours. And that disappearance of more than 300 movies at once is obviously worrying users. Luckily, the return of the volume with hundreds of films has been done practically in the same way: in a few days over the weekend. But considering that this is not the first time this has happened, it will most likely happen again. It is obvious that users should start getting used to it.

You have productions that have gone through theaters with great success, such as The Bourne Ultimatum or Multiple, and much less popular films that, in any case, can also entertain. Among the latest that we see added in this wave of uploads to SkyShowtime, we could also highlight films from sagas such as Jurassic Park or Full Throttle, as well as Hollywood blockbusters such as Warcraft: The Origin, Oblivion or Apollo 13.
A wide variety of genres are appreciated and, in particular, we have noticed that many horror movies have been added. Most likely, this streaming service is already being reinforced for the future celebration of Halloween, a period in which the reproduction of movies of this genre increases. That is why we see recent additions such as Psycho, Ouija, Signal 2, Friday the 13th, The Witch or Silent Hill, to name just a few.
