So we can be sure that nothing will be reproduced without our permission.

It was a Movistar user who contacted the operator through the Movistar Community to find out about this possibility. Even though he parental control of any platform is designed to restrict all content that is not suitable for the little ones in the house, the reality is that it has many other advantages: among them, the possibility of add more restricted content or block the option that any purchase can be made with our card, for example. Movistar reports that we can do this blocking by accessing the settings of our decoder and then clicking on “Channel blocking”. Next, we will have to enter parental PIN. If we have never changed it, the default is always “1111”. From that moment, we can choose any channel that we want to restrict and accept from the remote control. Every time we try to access it, we must press the PIN code that we have configured to unlock access, providing us with extra security in the titles that are played from our devices.

As we have already anticipated, parental control is a very interesting function to personalize our user experience and prevent access to channels that we do not want to be shown, especially when we live with minors and we do not agree with certain programming.
Our recommendation is that change the PIN code by any other custom code, since the default code is quite easy to find on the Internet and this limitation might not make much sense if it is easy to avoid.
