Microsoft identifies 51 errors, one of which is a zero-day vulnerability

As usual, on Tuesday, June 11, Microsoft shared the analysis report of all the errors that it had corrected with the launch of its updates. Specifically, up to 51 security flaws were detected, 18 remote code execution (RCE) and one zero-day vulnerability, which corresponds to the Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) service. However, we also had to intervene in the solution of 7 Microsoft Edge errors, apart from those mentioned.

Regarding the zero-day vulnerability, Microsoft has announced that it is a security flaw of which they were not aware and which was revealed in the month of February, therefore, there was no official solution to avoid it, so this type attacks are usually successful. In fact, its provenance has been publicly disclosed. This is KeyTrap, a very serious vulnerability assigned under the identifier CVE-2023-50868, which directly affects the security of DNS servers and could deny some applications access to the Internet for a long time.

Luckily, with Tuesday’s update, it has been possible to locate its whereabouts and eradicate all traces of its existence permanently. You can see the detailed report at this link.
