You predict results and rate coaches, although it is a shame that Forza has not updated the (optional) Forza 90 app since 2015. Fortunately, Forza Football itself is updated regularly. As far as we are concerned, the player statistics could be a bit more extensive and Forza does not offer football news either. But for live football scores, Forza Football is a great app: it is clear, always fast and has a widget with recent scores at a glance.
FlashScore: more than 30 sports

You choose your favorite matches, teams or players and you will then receive notifications of important moments. Not only for football, but also tennis, basketball, hockey, rugby and 33 other sports. If you register in the app you will receive notifications on all your devices.
FotMob (Live Activities)
This app is one of the few that supports Live Activities in the Dynamic Island. This allows you to see the standings live on the lock screen of your iPhone 14 Pro or newer. You can also see the time of the match live on the screen, without having to open an app. All you have to do is mark the specific match with an asterisk and the Live Activity will appear on the screen an hour before the match starts. Besides that, the app is also fast with push messages and you can read the latest news.
Scorespot (Live Activities)
Scorespot is a simple app for football live scores. It works with 900 leagues and 12,000 teams, where you see the matches on the lock screen. There are also widgets for the home screen, which provide you with a lot of extra information. But the most distinctive is the option to show the match scores as Live Activity in the Dynamic Island. For a fee you can remove the commercials and watch multiple matches at the same time. Payment can be made monthly or annually.
Voetbal International: the best with football scores and news
All information can be found via a simple button bar at the bottom of the screen: news, video, statistics, your personal page and the Pro section of Voetbal International, everything is at your fingertips. Within the news screen, you can switch between the most current news, the most important news or trending news items by swiping horizontally across the screen. Comments are refreshed in real time.
Members of VI PRO get access to exclusive content, such as cult stories, opinions and the best stories from the magazine. Naturally, you can follow live matches with the app, you will receive new football videos and audio fragments every day and you will find the standings and scores of more than 75 competitions. In short: if you want to stay broadly informed about all the football news, the VI app is very versatile. More extensive analyzes can only be found via VI Pro, although you can set your favorite clubs and competitions with a My VI account.
Football zone: the alternative to news and scores
Voetbalzone had a separate app, Voetbalzone Score, for a long time. This was known for always being the fastest: you often received notifications of goals 1 or 2 minutes earlier than other apps. Football Zone Score was less suitable for statistics enthusiasts, because the time of the goal was sometimes not always correct. Nowadays, this app no longer exists and you can find the live scores and results in the normal Voetbalzone app. You will find live statistics for almost all professional football clubs worldwide in the app, which are still updated very quickly. Football zone also shows all match details. With the My VZ function you select your favorite team and competition, so that you only see what you are interested in.
Sporza: for Belgian football
If you want to follow Belgian football, you are better off with the Spotza App. Follow the matches live, with written updates and statistics. You can watch the matches of the Red Devils and matches from the Europa League and the Belgian Cup via a live stream. You can also watch matches. But the most important thing for jive fans is that you will receive push notifications from your favorite team as soon as a goal is scored.
ESPN (formerly Fox Sports): the best with videos

In addition to the score of matches in favorite competitions, you can also watch all kinds of videos of goals and matches, read news from various news sources, follow tweets from teams and (popular) football players and receive transfer news via the app. 365Scores promises to send you the fastest notifications and you can watch goal videos within 5 minutes. With more than 1,000 competitions, including the Second Division in the Netherlands, you will find almost everything you are looking for.

You can also see current matches or the next round and the app looks neat. Not the fastest with push notifications.
- LiveScore: Football scores (Free, iPhone/iPad, iOS 11.0+) – An often mentioned alternative. The dark design with the small letters is a bit difficult to read. Livescore also offers rankings and results for sports other than football, namely tennis, hockey, basketball and cricket. Livescore contains advertisements without the option to buy them out.
- Futbol24 live scores football (Free, iPhone, iOS 13.0+) – Fast with push messages and that is the biggest plus. Futbol24 is difficult to operate via links at the top of the screen. Wasn’t updated for a long time, but the developers picked up the thread again in 2017.
