Right now the software giant Microsoft is finalizing the development of the big update of its new Windows 11 system for this year, the 22H2. Such is the advanced state of this, that in parallel it is already working on the one corresponding to the next year 2023.
And it is that according to the latest information we have and based on the compilations sent to the insiders, 22H2 is in its final phase of development. That means that at the moment the firm is finishing with the last touches of the update and resolving the errors that appear. In fact, there is speculation that its launch will take place at the end of this summer instead of in the months of October or November, which is usual.
To all this, we can add that, as we mentioned, the company is currently working on the major update that will be released next year. This is a statement that we can deduce from Microsoft’s warning about unstable builds that are about to arrive. As expected, they belong to the preparation phase of Windows 11 23H2. At the same time, they have sent an email warning users of the Windows Insider Program that these buggy and unstable builds will soon begin rolling out to the Dev channel.
Of course, the reason for all this cannot be other than the imminent arrival of the first versions of Windows 11 23H2. As you probably already know, Windows 11 system will be updated once a year with new feature updates. Therefore, in a few months the deployment of what is known as 22H2 is expected.
Windows 11 2023 update 23H2 is already in development
At the same time we must take into consideration that the insiders of the Beta channel will continue to receive the latest releases of 22H2. Likewise, those of the Dev channel will move to a new branch to help the company shape the 23H2 version of Windows 11 that we are talking about. Please note that initially the Dev Channel is not tied to any particular version. With everything and with it the next changes here will belong consumers to the version for next year of the new operating system.
It must be said that these builds will not have interesting changes, at least initially. The main reason for this is that this version is still at a very early stage of development. There will be no new features at first, something that is expected to change significantly over time. As expected, these first builds will be full of bugs that insiders will have to deal with and report. Here we talk about critical errors with blue screens in some cases.
This means that all those who do not want to encounter these serious errors, will have to move to the Beta channel as soon as possible. Be that as it may, all this together allows users enrolled in this program to try the latest news sent to Windows 11 before anyone else. The reliability of the builds you receive will depend on the channel you subscribe to.
