Peugeot boasts a wide electrified range

Virtually every industrialized country or region is working to reduce CO2 emissions: China, Brazil, North America, India and, of course, Europe. As you will see, it is not a unique demand that has occurred in the Old Continent, but it is clearly the most demanding.

For this reason, Peugeot has gotten its act together, and anticipating that very near future, it offers a range made up of 12 models with electric and plug-in hybrid versions that cover all kinds of categories and segments. In this way, the company with the lion boasts one of the widest ranges of electrified vehicles that are marketed in Spain. And it is that more than 80% of the models in its portfolio can have a plug.

The last to arrive has been the Peugeot 308 SW Hybrid, which is available with two powers: 180 hp and 225 hp. The first is equipped with a PureTech gasoline engine capable of producing 150 hp and an 81 kW electric drive, with which CO2 emissions (WLTP) remain at 25 g/km. Also, thanks to its battery it can travel up to 60 km in fully electric mode.

The second mounts the same PureTech, but with a power of 180 CV, with which added to the 81 kW it delivers 225 CV. Emissions are 26 g/km, and autonomy is up to 59 kilometres. Both boast a DGT 0 label on the windshield.

The non-family version, the hatchback, also enjoys the same powertrain, only the trunk is reduced by 187 litres, from 548 to 361.

Peugeot boasts a wide electrified range

The kings of the asphalt jungle are the Peugeot e-208 and e-2008. The urban one has a 136 hp engine and its autonomy can reach up to 340 km. With it, the advantages of the electric car can be appreciated, such as the absence of noise or vibrations, but without neglecting sportsmanship thanks to its ‘sport’ mode, with which it is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in 8, one”.

The same engine mounts the e-2008, the 100% electric SUV, but its autonomy is reduced to 310 kilometers. Unlike the utility vehicle, the B-segment SUV that is manufactured in Spain has a 405-liter trunk. And despite dialing 100 kilograms more on the scale, it keeps the same 0 to 100.

The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid also joins the range. It is available in two versions: with a 300 hp engine that sends power to all four wheels or with a 225 hp front-wheel drive.

The most powerful combines a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 200 hp, an electric 110 hp on the front axle and a 113 on the rear. And all this combined with a 13.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with which it can move in fully electric mode up to 59 kilometers. His 0 to 100 is noteworthy as he hits them at 6.0″.

The second has the same gasoline engine, but with a power of 181 hp. This works with an electric 110 to provide 225 hp. The battery is the same, but the autonomy is not, since it marks 40 kilometers.

The flagship, the Peugeot 508, closes the range. The entry-level plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 180 hp petrol block and a 110 hp electric block to offer a maximum combined power of 225 hp. Its 11.8 kWh battery allows it to travel 40 kilometers and thanks to the set, CO2 emissions are less than 49 g/km.

And the spearhead comes with the most performance and sporty version: the Peugeot 508 PSE (Peugeot Sport Engineered), which is available in both saloon and estate bodywork, both with 360 hp and 520 Nm of torque. It has been developed by Peugeot Sport designers and engineers and is characterized by bringing all the experience in aerodynamics, mechanical components and performance developed in competition to series vehicles.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 in just 5.2″ and reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/h. And it is also careful with the environment since its emissions are 46 g/km and it has a range of 46 kilometers in 100% mode. In addition, you can move around the city without restrictions because it has the DGT label 0.
