The compact class of motorhomes continues to surprise us with new designs, layouts and concepts. This is the Globecar Globescout test
The Globecar Globescout in the new Elegance equipment line is really elegant and classy. The Globecar brand belongs to the Pössl Group. This motorhome variant is offered for a total of three vehicle models.
For the Roadscout R of 5.40 meters long, the one that we have tested of six meters and the Campscout of 6.36.
The biggest differences from the production vehicle include the sophisticated lighting and open space concept, and the new furniture fronts. LED light strips create a cozy atmosphere indoors at night, as the lights are hidden.
The timeless gray in different shades and nuances dominates the interior as the main colour.
Elegant and also practical motorhome
Our test vehicle has the Oxford Tajet furniture décor with a mix of light wood tones in combination with a darker grey. The “living world lounge” upholstered in a heavier fabric completes the timeless look.
Kitchen drawers with recesses in the handles are especially nice. Many details show not only the elegant appearance, but also the practicality of the motorhome. An egg in the screen facilitates access to the rear transverse bed.
In the bed area there are also open shelves for books, glasses, etc., as well as closed, full-length upper cupboards for clothes. Smaller items can also be left on the narrow shelf between the bathroom and the bed.
under cabinet fridge
The fridge and cupboard layout in the Globescout takes some getting used to, but it’s practical once you get the hang of it. Because the cabinet is installed between the kitchen cabinet and the rear bed.
The refrigerator is directly below. For a wider entrance to the vehicle, there is only a small kitchen block with a very manageable storage area.
And if you need more space to cook, you can fold out the worktop extension at the front of the kitchen block or use the dining table, which also has a drop-down extension. Smart solutions in a most elegant environment!
