It was one of the surprises of the last EICMA in Milan: MBP (Moto Bologna Passione) presented a maxitrail, a cruiser and two scooters in Milan. Now MBP reveals its 650 cruiser.
The first two have a 997 cc 80º V2 engine that yields 94 CV, and now comes this new cruiser, the C650V, with the same engine architecture, but with a smaller displacement.
The new 650 looks similar to the 1000 (C1002V), but it is not identical. In fact, the tank, tail and headlight are different from those of the 1000 and there are a couple of side air intakes.
The passenger is well treated, with a generously sized seat, backrest and a pair of handles.
The instrumentation is by two screens, a 5.5” color TFT in the usual place and another LCD in the warehouse, which share the information.
The engine is a V2, but at 90º and not at 80º as in the 1000. This engine offers 68 CV at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 62 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The final transmission is by toothed belt.
The wheels are spoked, but instead of the 18” on the C1002V, the 650 is 16” on both axles. Brakes use Nissin (non-radial) two-piston calipers with ABS.
Suspensions are KYB, with a pair of preload-adjustable rear shocks.
The deposit is no less than 21 l capacity, and the wheelbase of 1,565 mm.
The MBP cruiser 650 is manufactured in red, black, white, gray and purple.
This new brand is distributed in several European countries, although it has not yet reached Spain.
