The Stuttgart brand has announced the donation to ‘Aktion Deutschland hilft eV’, a group that includes different German humanitarian aid agencies.
In recent days we have witnessed one of the worst earthquakes in recent years, which has already claimed the lives of several tens of thousands of people. Many companies and organizations are offering help, including Porsche, which is donating one million euros to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
The Stuttgart brand has announced the donation to ‘Aktion Deutschland hilft eV’, a group that includes different German humanitarian aid agencies.
In addition, the Board of Directors, together with the Works Council, have called on Porsche employees to contribute to helping the victims through the internal platform Porsche hilft (Porsche helps, in German).
The company has selected four organizations that are currently offering important help in the areas affected by the earthquake.
Porsche donates one million euros to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria
Porsche’s donation will be used for immediate humanitarian support. ‘Aktion Deutschland Hilft eV’ brings together relevant aid organizations to act on the ground, such as searching for missing persons, offering shelter to those affected, securing dangerous areas or carrying out clean-up work.
It also provides medical care, procures food and takes care of the maintenance of emergency workers.

Porsche CEO Oliver Blume said: “Our thoughts are with the victims and with all those who have lost family and friends, or their homes and livelihoods in this terrible disaster.”
For his part, Harald Buck, Chairman of the Porsche Works Council, acknowledged feeling shocked by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria: “I am shocked by the images that come to us from Turkey and Syria. We are very connected to the victims. Many of our colleagues have friends or family in the affected areas.”
