The brand has surprised with the new Demon 170, a car that sounds as spectacular as you can hear in the video.
Listen to how the 1,039 CV of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 sounds. It seemed that we would have to say goodbye to the Challenger while waiting for a 100% electric car, that we would have to forget about that overwhelming sound, that smell of burning rubber when its engine goes into full throttle performance. But no, the brand has surprised with the new Demon 170, a car that sounds as spectacular as you can hear in the video.
The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has a rightful page in the automotive history book. In it you can tell how it became the most powerful muscle car in the world and the fastest production car on the planet with a time of 2.3 seconds in the 0-96 km/h test. Thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter engine capable of developing 840 horsepower, it became the most powerful V8 in a production car, setting a record time in the quarter mile of 9.65 seconds at 225 km/h.
But all of this has been left in the background with the arrival of this Dodge, the fastest, fastest and most powerful new production muscle car in history. This is the new Challenger SRT Demon 170, a car with more than 1,000 horsepower. It uses the completely modified 6.2 V8 engine, so much so that the company says that we are practically dealing with a new engine.
It mounts a supercharger, or Supercharger, of 3.0 liters. And with this, when the ethanol content exceeds 65%, the engine develops 1,039 hp and 1,280 Nm of maximum torque. It has an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a rear-wheel drive system, not being possible to mount a manual box. All this in a lighter car thanks to the intensive use of carbon fiber and the elimination of elements that increased the total weight.
