With 100 hp of maximum power and a speed of 240 km/h, the Japanese Trick Star tuners have developed a “turbo kit” for romantics and lovers of the different based on the Kawasaki ZX-25R.

It is clear that, if you want 100 hp of power today, all you have to do is go to one of the 600 cc motorcycles, or similar displacement, that are on the market. But it won’t have the grace to emit the howl of a 250cc “grinder” spinning at 15,000rpm. Nor that of defying pure logic, which is sometimes what it is all about.

This motorcycle evokes the crazy 90s of the last century, when the most daring disarmed a 125 cc 2T, and replaced the engine with that of a Yamaha RD 350. Or that of those lucky ones who managed to get hold of one of the exclusive Japanese sports 400 cc tetracylindrical that arrived in drops to our borders.

Now the Japanese have at their disposal the possibility of emulating those times, through a serious company, Trick Star, who have prepared this very unique kit for the Kawasaki ZX-25R Turbo. Just hearing the word “turbo” makes your hair stand on end, and you want to take its controls and squeeze the small tetracylindrical to the maximum.

Its already good 51 original CV are multiplied by two! By putting pressure on the turbo. And who knows how far one could go in a display of eccentricity. Although of course, in this case the reliability would go to a second or third plane.

At the moment it is not planned that the Trick Star kit will arrive in Europe, so we will have to dream about the possibility of being able to try it one day while we entertain ourselves looking at the photos.

100 hp for a 250… Yes, it seems incredible, but it’s true.
