CNBC analysts debate the arrival of the PS5 Pro to stores, and following the line of its predecessor, its arrival could be in the second half of 2024. One of the probable causes is that it has been considered that this year Sony will experience a gradual decline in sales, going from an initial estimate of 25 million units to a forecast of 21 million units.

The author of this revelation is Serkan Toto, executive director of the Tokyo-based gaming consultancy Kantan Games, who highlighted the following statement in a recent document in the international magazine CNBC:
“There seems to be a broad consensus in the gaming industry that Sony is preparing to launch a PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024. And Sony will want to make sure it has a great piece of hardware ready when GTA VI arrives in 2025, a launch that will be a boost for the entire gaming industry.
What will the new PS5 Pro be like?
Sony already has its PS5 Slim models on sale, a smaller version in size than its older sister, preserving the same components, and the PlayStation Portal, a portable console that works through Wi-Fi or mobile data to receive everything PS5 content and play it on a smaller screen with a DualSense attached.
As for the new PS5 Pro, it is mentioned that its features will be enhanced compared to the original. According to rumors, Sony’s revision would have an 8-core AMD Zen 2 processor and a GPU with RDNA 3, accompanied by a refresh rate of 2.5 to 2.8 GHz. In addition, the PS5 Pro would see its memory increased RAM up to 16 GB GDDR6 running at 18 Gbps.
