The Fox channel is going to change forever. In February we already knew what would happen today, March 11, 2024, the name change. Although, many users probably did not find out about this rebranding until today. But, the most important thing of all is to have an idea of everything that is going to be different with Star Channel.
One of the payment channels with the longest history in our country, with more than 20 years, has already changed its name today. It is not new, but rather something they have been working on since late 2022 and early 2023, although it was confirmed relatively recently. Now, what is going to happen? What are the changes in Star Channel?… That is precisely what we are going to see. The good thing is that there are hardly any big changes, so users will be able to rest assured.
What’s new from Star Channel
For many users this is one of the great unknowns. However, it doesn’t have much of a mystery. For example, the official website of this channel already appears as Star Channel if you enter. And all because if you search for Fox, “FOX Spain TV official website” still appears. Although the URL is already different and it will not take much longer to change the name of the website.
On the other hand, after Fox became Star Channel, another of the changes that you will notice as a user is in the social networks of the Fox channels. Keep in mind that, in this case, they will remain but with a name change to ‘ starchannel_es’, except for X (Twitter). However, the Twitter account appears to no longer exist. You can find the channel on Instagram and Facebook.
The contents and programming are maintained
Now, are the contents going to change? The answer is no. Everything else will continue as before. You will be able to watch the same series and movies as on Fox: “we will continue to offer viewers’ favorite series and movies. STAR Channel will continue to be the home of the highest-grossing entertainment, with top stars from the largest Studios in the world.” So you will not see any major changes, leaving aside the rebranding of Star Channel and the notable image change of the linear channel.
As for the dial of this linear channel on the operators, note that the same position is maintained. Therefore, instead of leaving FOX, the changed name will now appear on the operator’s TV, such as Orange TV, which continues to appear on dial 11 or on Movistar Plus+, which is on dial 38.
Also, be clear that the programming will not be modified, as stated on the Star Channel website: «The network’s programming will not change. The series and movies that viewers are accustomed to will remain on the respective network’s schedule, at the usual times and in the same position on the main operators.” And, of course, leaving the Fox name behind will not mean that users will have to pay more if they have it with their operator, it will be as before, without an additional cost.
