That in the year 2025 there will be a YouTuber who has come up with a new way to surprise with his gaming live shows is truly unexpected. We did not think that, at this point, we would find news like this, but there is no doubt that it is something to applaud.

One of the main tasks that YouTubers who do their live shows and record videos have is to protect themselves from possible copyright problems. Copyright strikes are common and are one of the biggest nightmares for those who post videos on YouTube. To avoid this, this user has invented a more than interesting alternative.

All for one game

From the Games Done Quick channel, YouTuber chuckles825 wanted to make history when it comes to live gaming. And everything has been for a single objective: the desire he had to do a live performance of one of the most legendary games of its generation. This is Crazy Taxi, the legendary Sega arcade driving game in which we have to pick up clients and take them throughout the city to their destinations. Whether you played the original arcade or the Dreamcast version, you will remember that it was a very addictive title that left no one indifferent.

A moment from the live show with a musical band dedicated to Crazy Taxi

Furthermore, one of the great features of Crazy Taxi was its soundtrack. Because, while we were driving, you could hear huge songs by The Offspring and Bad Religion. Both groups are a symbol of their era and, as we drove, their songs gave us a great amount of energy to drive at full speed. The problem is that, over the years, the licenses for the songs in the game were not renewed. This led to later versions of Crazy Taxi no longer enjoying the same songs, which has always been a factor that has left these remakes in question.

For the live performance of Crazy Taxi, of course, chuckles825 wanted to have the legendary songs from the original game. And playing it with the songs playing from the game was not a viable option, as it would cause rights violations to be triggered almost instantly. In search of a solution, can you believe what the YouTuber ended up deciding?

Your own live band

Of course, the YouTuber has not hired The Offspring or Bad Religion, but he has looked for a band that could play the songs live to provide all the emotion of playing with the songs. In this way, the YouTuber had the two things he needed: evade violations and, at the same time, play with the songs to offer the best Crazy Taxi experience possible.

The band did a job that can only be defined as incredible. The reason for this is that they didn’t just play the songs one by one, but rather they adjusted their interpretation depending on what was happening in the game. So, for example, the band changed songs every time the YouTuber finished a level, while also restarting the melody the moment the player caused the song to restart. That level of commitment to the live recording cannot be said to have ended up being a surprise.

The group’s singer, without a doubt, had a day in which he surely tested his limits with this great challenge. Now we will have to see if this idea ends up becoming a trend that receives continuity in the gaming live shows of other YouTubers. It is clear that it is a great solution to avoid rights problems and, at the same time, there would surely be many indie groups that would be delighted to receive this type of work. In the case of Crazy Taxi’s live performance, the band that performed live was Limiter Cut.
