Rednote, application that is called Xiaohongshu in China, is not a precisely new application. It takes a long time to be one of the references among the users of the country. How to download Rednote?
It has no difficulty! The app is available in application stores in Spain without any obstacle. Look for Rednote or its original name, Xiaohongshu, and it will quickly come out among the results. The icon is the one you can see below in the image we share with you. It is not a very heavy application, so the download will end quickly. Then, at the time you open it, you will skip a message of “important information” that you will ask you to click on the red button to accept the terms of application of the application. That message is in English, so it will not have much difficulty either.

First steps

To do this, play where it puts “log in” or clicks the + symbol that is marked in red. You can register with your phone number or using your Apple or Google email account, depending on whether you are using an iPhone or an Android terminal. You could also use an Xiaohongshu account, which is also an online store, but we imagine that it will not be your case. The preferable thing is that you use your Apple or Google account, since the registration with the mobile number is problematic. In that case, you would have to find the prefix of Spain and, from there, register, but it will not be easy to see that everything is in Mandarin.
When you are already identified, you will only have to go to the option from below to the right and then play on the gear that will appear above in the photo of your profile. In the list of options that appear in Mandarin, the second one, the one that has, again, gear icon. Now another list will appear on which you have to choose the first one. That will take you to another menu where the language list is located. At the moment there is no Spanish option, but Rednote is expected to incorporate more language configuration options into nearby dates. Because of this, choose English and so, at least, you will have the app in English and you can find out everything in it.
How to use Rednote?
Its use will surely remind you of Instagram, since those responsible for Xiaohongshu were inspired by this application when they designed it. That said, and, as we have mentioned before, in the upper navigation bar you have three tabs. The first, Follow, is for the accounts that you are already following, a good access to the content that you know may interest you. In the second, explore, you will appear videos and galleries of at random depending on its popularity and other factors typical of the app algorithm. And, lastly, you have Nearby, which these are videos and photos that have been made in a location near where you are. In this case, you will have to give location permits to the application so that this option works. Of course, you can give them only for once if you want to curly, but you don’t feel like the app has permanent permits.
