Windows 11 24H2 is a major update to Microsoft’s operating system that millions of users have been eagerly awaiting for months. The software giant, little by little, has been making it available to compatible devices, although not everyone can download it yet.
There are several crashes that have been carried out on certain computers around the world when installing 24H2. It may be the case that we have a configuration that is not compatible at the moment, so we will not have the possibility of installing it through Windows Update. At the same time, the company has been forced to delay this launch on those computers prone to failures after the update as such.
And over the last few weeks, multiple errors have been detected after installing the update. In fact, many users have encountered blue screens of death that have completely blocked their computers. In addition, some failures are caused by certain hardware components such as the webcam of laptop computers or fingerprint readers. Hence, Microsoft has been forced to block the arrival of 24H2 to certain computers with Windows 11.
It must be taken into consideration that initially the deployment of the new version of the system began last October 1. In turn, Microsoft also made the update available to compatible devices through the Media Creation tool. All so that the majority of its users can benefit from the advantages of this new version.
Windows 11 24H2 is now available to almost everyone
It should be noted that the operating system update that we mention here currently has up to nine officially listed blocks. But two of them rose at the beginning of this month of November. This directly affected devices with fingerprint sensors that caused problems, for example.
And now Microsoft says that it has solved a problem with this component that was made public a few days ago. Therefore, if until now you could not receive 24H2 through Windows Update on your computer, we recommend trying again. It is important to know that this was precisely one of the most widespread problems that caused numerous blockages when updating.
Hence, many of the teams that did not receive 24H2 to date probably already have it available through the update function. As expected, this error correction will be extended to the rest of the problems detected after the installation of the new version. This will mean that other computers will already be able to receive it, something that the majority of users who are waiting for it will appreciate.
More so if we take into consideration that the end of Windows 10 is closer than ever, it has less than 1 year of official support left, and users will be forced to migrate to Windows 11 to have a secure system.
