Diversification, one of the main trends that operators will opt for in this year 2025, seems that it will also reach MasOrange in style. According to reports in the press, the company resulting from the merger of MásMóvil and Orange would have in its hands the creation of three new subsidiaries that would help deploy its business and increase its income through different means.

During this year 2025, MasOrange has in its hands, as we read in Expansión, the creation of three new subsidiaries. Its objective will be clear: obtain income that benefits from the diversification of the business in which the operator is interested. Thus, although they will continue to centralize their main business in the telecommunications market as they are already doing until now, at the same time they will open those avenues to obtain additional income.

IT service for companies

Of the three new entities that MasOrange will launch in 2025, the highest caliber among them will be the one dedicated to the IT services environment for companies. This initiative will give the operator a strong presence in the information technology sector, a market where other of its rivals already have a significant presence. This is the case of Telefónica, who in 2019 launched Telefónica Tech with the intention of increasing its income in this sector.

For MasOrange, the objective with this subsidiary, which had been considered to arrive under the name of MasOrange Tech, although in the end it will not happen due to the similarity in name with its rival, will be structured on two fronts. One of them will be represented by companies, where MasOrange possibly has important growth plans promoting its expansion of services in the B2B environment. The other pillars will be public administrations, especially those of large accounts, where other of its rivals in telecommunications already enjoy a significant presence.

Some of the services that MasOrange will offer with this subsidiary will include things related to the Internet of Things, cybersecurity solutions, the cloud environment, Big Data or even artificial intelligence. In all of this, MasOrange could expand its presence significantly to provide its clients with quality service. Possibly, MasOrange’s intention is to follow the path of Telefónica, whose IT business for companies has managed to reach figures of around 2,000 million euros. In this way, MasOrange could raise the relevance of its IT business to figures parallel to those it enjoys in the telecommunications market.

The other two new subsidiaries

As we said, MasOrange’s businesses will continue to diversify throughout the year. Along with their IT initiative, they also have a subsidiary that will specialize in the marketing of customized advertising services. What the operator will do is offer segmented advertising campaigns using the enormous amount of data and users it has by adding its different telecommunications services.

At the end of the day, your large database and information that you have on your property becomes the support point so that MasOrange can continue to progress and increase its income. This is the same thing that the operator will do in its third new subsidiary, which will be dedicated to scoring, where it could also become important. Its project dedicated to credit risk evaluation will be based on that same database and will help MasOrange continue to look forward.

From what we can read, MasOrange will not only work on these initiatives in 2025. The company would also be looking to sign new alliances or even open new avenues of diversification that help obtain more income from different areas. In this context, they will continue to promote the development and growth of already consolidated areas, such as insurance, energy or alarms. In short, MasOrange faces 2025 with very good forecasts and looking ahead through plans that, at least for the moment, could not look better.
