Having fiber at home for less than €30 has become an impossible mission, especially with Movistar, Orange and Vodafone. With the farewell to Movistar’s cheap rate, which offered 300 Mbps for 29.90 euros per month, the three major operators in Spain completely forget about Internet-only rates below thirty euros per month. But who has the cheapest fiber?

Contracting an Internet-only plan in which you do not leave more than 30 euros per month is already a thing of the past in Movistar, Orange and Vodafone. More than anything, because none of its fiber rates fall below that price. Until now, the only one that resisted and competed against other low cost operators was Movistar with its Connect 300 Mbps option. However, the minimum connection speed that we will find in these three companies is 500 Mbps, so the price is higher than ever.

No low fee of 30 euros

In the catalog of the large operators in Spain, they have completely forgotten about cheap Internet-only rates. If until a few days ago Movistar had among its alternatives the option Connect with 300 Mbps for less than 30 euros per month, today neither Orange, nor Vodafone or Movistar can offer you a fiber plan below that monthly fee.

The main operators in our country have boosted their fiber rates, that is, they have increased the connection speed. And with this, the prices of their Internet plans have gone up. If we take a look at the alternatives of Orange, Movistar and Vodafone, we can see how the minimum speed that can be contracted is the rate with 500 Mbps in Orange, and after 600 Mbps in Movistar and Vodafone. Therefore, the rates are more expensive.

Optical fiber

To this must be added the rise in prices of the three large operators in 2023. Due to inflation and in order to adjust their rates to the CPI (Consumer Price Index), these telephone companies have had to increase the monthly fees for all your plans and not just fiber rates. Even, from July 23, Orange will raise the prices of fiber options by adding Orange TV. Therefore, the French operator will no longer market Internet-only plans in Spain.

Those who are worst off are customers, since none will be able to enjoy an option with fiber below 30 euros. Once this is taken into account, it is time to find out how the situation is right now if you want to contract Internet with one of these three operators:
