However, the blue operator has temporarily put its 1 Gbps fiber at the price of the 600 Mbps rate. An offer that ends precisely on January 14, one day before the price increase.
At first, this temporary promotion for Movistar’s 1,000 Mbps fiber was only going to be available until December 31, 2023. Instead, the Spanish operator has opted to extend this discount for 14 more days, precisely until the day in which its entire catalog will increase in price, and not just its fiber rates.
Therefore, its rate with 1 Gbps for home has the same price as the plan with 600 Mbps from its fiber-only catalog. Although like any promotion, it has a series of conditions that must be met in order to apply this offer.
1,000 Mbps at the price of 600 Mbps
If you wanted to change your rate and renew your fiber to put more speed at home. So maybe it’s a good time to contract Movistar’s 1 Gbps rate. And even more so when you can get this connection speed for a little more than 30 euros per month. Although, the price is not final, but you can pay that amount for an entire quarter. Starting from the fourth month, the price of this Internet-only plan will be 45.90 euros. Although, before applying this increase, the truth is that the price for 1,000 Mbps on Movistar was 43.90 euros per month.
And not everyone can apply for this Movistar promotion. Therefore, it is important to take into account the conditions set by the Spanish operator to be able to enjoy this temporary discount for the top fiber in its catalog:
- This promotion is available for new fixed broadband registrations.
- It must be taken into account that it is incompatible with previous promotions on any fiber product or for customers who have unsubscribed from the fixed Internet service in the previous 30 days.
- It can only be enjoyed once per customer.
- The promotion ends on January 14, 2024 (day included).

On the other hand, if Movistar’s 1,000 Mbps fiber does not interest you, the truth is that you can contract two other Internet-only options: 300 Mbps for 29.90 euros per month and 600 Mbps for 33.90 euros per month (up 2 euros more per month since January 15).
