The variety of channels that come to the Samsung TV Plus service available on the Korean brand’s televisions continues to grow. This time they have launched a new thematic channel that also goes big by broadcasting live a great event that always attracts thousands of viewers.
Being Samsung a South Korean brand, it was a matter of time before we saw how the entity began to collaborate closely with the world of K-pop. To achieve this, what the company has done is add a new K-pop channel to its repertoire.
A channel with a lot of rhythm
The new channel available on Samsung TV Plus is called K-POP by CJ ENM and is only available in a series of countries, including some such as the United States, France, Mexico and, of course, Spain. Its programming is entirely dedicated to fashionable music that spreads throughout the world and whose groups are increasingly gaining international popularity.
Among other things, on the channel we can see music videos, interviews, reports, all kinds of performances in different programs, documentaries or videos in which we are shown behind the scenes of the video clips. Furthermore, as is clear from the name of the channel, the contents that stand out in a special way are those that come from CJ ENM’s Studio CHOOM. If you are a K-pop fan, you surely know the recordings that all kinds of K-pop artists make for Studio CHOOM, since their videos are very successful on YouTube. What they do is share with fans of this music the choreographies of the most cutting-edge artists in recordings that are made behind closed doors and where you can see the dances up close, which creates great interest among fans.
Some of the artists mentioned in the statement issued by Samsung include the names of aespa, Tomorrow x Together or the legendary JY Park. However, you can expect content from all famous groups. Broadcast of the 2024 Mama Awards
For K-pop lovers, the Mama Awards are like the Oscars, extremely important awards in which the greatest of Korean music come together. The channel is going to debut in a big way and celebrate that it is now available with the broadcast of these awards that will span three days. The opening ceremony and first day will take place tomorrow, November 21 at the well-known Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, while the remaining two sessions will take place from the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on November 22 and 23.
On November 21, the following artists will perform live: Anderson .Paak, ILLIT, JY Park, Katseye, RIIZE, TWS, Young Posse and there will be a collaboration between JY Park and Anderson .Paak. For its part, on the 22nd it will be the turn of BOYNEXTDOOR, Enhypen, Ive, Izna, Lee Young-ji[b]ME:I, Plave, Treasure and Tomorrow X Together, as well as two other collaborations. Finally, on the last day, (G)I-dle, Aespa, BIBI, Byeon Woo-seok, G-Dragon, INI, Meovv, Seventeen and Zerobaseone will perform.
Samsung mentions that they are willing to continue improving their service with more premium content that makes users vibrate and so they see that it is one of the best television platforms. It must be recognized that, in this case, they have been very successful with the availability of both the channel and the live broadcast of the event.
