Of course, you are not wrong to think that Real Madrid and Fútbol Club Barcelona matches are the ones that attract the best numbers of spectators. The white team is the one that is placed in the first position in the table according to the audience data that the aforementioned agency has shared. In figures corresponding to the ninth day of the league, Real Madrid has achieved first place in unique spectators. It is taken into account that a single spectator is any person who watches the football match in question and is watching it for at least one minute.

The second position is occupied by Fútbol Club Barcelona, ​​which, on this specific day, has not reached 1.3 million spectators, although it has remained close. In any case, as we said, it was logical that these two teams would top the table.

The third position is occupied by Atlético de Madrid, a team that added 1.1 million unique viewers on the ninth day, leaving Villarreal in a more than deserved fourth position. Curiously, both teams occupy the same positions in the LaLiga EA Sports standings. This, of course, does not happen with the next team that leads the audiences: Sevilla CF. It is approaching a million viewers even though its position in the ranking is behind the top 10.

Next, we find RC Celta, Rayo Vallecano, UD Las Palmas, CA Osasuna and Real Betis closing the top 10. Let’s keep in mind that these teams go from an audience of 855,000 spectators in the case of Celta to one of 741,000 at Betis. If we continue looking at the audience list, curiously Athletic Club only reaches position number 15 in viewer volume even though, in the competition, they are very high in the table.

For their part, the three teams that have accumulated the least audience have been Getafe CF, CD Leganés and RCD Mallorca, with the last two teams falling below 500,000 viewers. It is mentioned in the study that, to carry out this research and analysis work, they have taken into account the guest variable and also the consumption that accumulates in second homes.

These data could be useful when considering a possible expansion of LaLiga football matches or any other competition on television. Even a close-up football match on DTT every week, with adequate coverage and a good push on the screen, could become a success if it showed one of the teams that are in the top 10 on this list.
