We are in a time of year when it is not unusual to see new channels appear on the different television services. And, taking into account the dates, you can imagine that what Orange TV has announced is the addition of a new horror channel to its schedule. It cannot be denied that it is just what we wanted and what is best for us to enjoy a few weeks full of scares, tension and sensations with terror as the main banner.

An exclusive channel

The best of all, beyond the excellent content that the channel will have, is that it is exclusive. We will not find it in other operators and, at the same time, it debuts with a peculiarity that seems wonderful to us: the location of its dial. Because, taking advantage of the dates, what Orange TV has done has been to give this new channel called Halloween by Dark dial number 666. What better dial for a theme of this style?

Halloween by Dark Channel on Orange TV

Keep in mind, first, that it will be a 24-hour channel. And, second, that, as we said, it will only be available for a limited period of time. It debuts today, October 15, and will be available until November 4.

What programming do you have?

Of course, the main theme is horror. Orange TV has formed an alliance with AMC Networks and, more specifically, with its Dark channel. As you probably already know, this channel is dedicated to horror and all the subgenres related to it, so it is ideal to serve as a base for this pop up channel that appears on the Orange TV schedule. It is not, as you can imagine, the same Dark channel, but its programming is different and has been selected with the intention of making viewers experience truly scary moments in the coming days.

There are going to be two and a half weeks in which we will have constant horror films with a number that will exceed 60 different films and that will not only be seen on the channel’s programming. Thus, they will also be available on demand, so if you miss a movie or have a tight schedule, Halloween by Dark will also take care of providing you with the entertainment you need. Not only that, but Orange has made sure to give the channel all the usual features expected from its service, from the last seven days’ content to the multi-device system or the ability to start movies from the beginning when we find them. already started.

A scene from the movie V/H/S Beyond

Best of all, the channel puts Orange TV at the forefront of the needs of moviegoers, since it will serve to premiere four productions that have been in the recent Sitges Fantastic Film Festival. If you didn’t have a chance to attend, but want to enjoy these titles, Halloween by Dark will have you covered. The four premiere titles that will come to the channel will be LittleBites, The Beast Hand, V/H/S Beyond and 1978. They are not films to pass up, since they are made by some of the main specialists in the genre. The Beast Hand, for example, is a work by Japanese Taichiro Natsume, whose career specializes in horror.

In the case of LittleBites, it has Cher as producer and its cast includes legendary names of the genre such as Barbara Crampton, Heather Langenkamp and Nonnie Aarons. In the case of V/H/S Beyond, it is part of the V/H/S franchise that you surely know and that has given a lot of fun to fans of the genre. And, lastly, 1978 arrives from Argentina with the Onetti brothers at the helm. Along with these premieres, as you can imagine, the channel will broadcast a large number of horror films. Among others, you can see sagas like Terrifier, which is making a lot of noise due to the premiere of its new installment, or the classic Halloween by the master John Carpenter. Thanks to all this, there is no doubt that Orange TV guarantees its customers that this will be a Halloween they will enjoy trembling with fear.
