Forced updates for Windows 10. In the latest versions of Microsoft’s operating system, one of the biggest handicaps the company faces is everything related to system updates. Problems and errors in them are more frequent than we would like. The worst of it was when the company launched forced updates in Windows 10, which brought even more errors related to the total blocking of the operating system. Fortunately, Microsoft reconsidered.
Cortana, the assistant that never amounted to anything. Cortana arrived in Windows as the personal assistant that would be an essential part of the operating system itself. Microsoft even promised us that it would be able to control it by voice thanks to this addition. But the truth is that it never had the acceptance or the performance that was expected, so the software giant had to abandon the project before it reached its supposed peak. We will see how its successor, Copilot, evolves now.
Windows ME. In this case we are talking about a version of Windows, rather than an independent function. Also known as Windows Millennium Edition, this can be considered one of the worst, or the worst version of the operating system in history. Initially it was supposed to be the last one based on DOS and that it would improve the deficiencies of Windows 98. Unfortunately, what it did was significantly worsen its predecessor. This directly affected the user experience and the functioning of the applications that we installed here. Without a doubt a black mark on the history of Windows.
WGA, the anti-piracy solution. Also known as Windows Genuine Advantage, Microsoft created this anti-piracy program for Windows that would be part of the system’s own code. It was released as a beta update to some XP users. But from the very beginning problems began and Windows began to function incorrectly. The project became a real disaster and Microsoft abandoned it.
