And it is that, depending on the operator in which we are, we will be able to pay more or less when requesting a duplicate of the card. So that you can get an idea, we are going to see the case in five operators: Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Yoigo and Digi.
In this way, you will see for yourself how the price can vary when requesting a duplicate of a SIM depending on the telephone company in which you are at that moment. In addition, we will see the conditions that each operator requires when requesting this type of service that they offer.
SIM duplicate prices by operators
To see in a better way what is the price that is paid in each operator for this service that we find in all the telephone companies that offer mobile lines. In this case, we go with the 5 most recurring operators. What is clear is that we will see how some prices can even double or even triple others. In addition, as we mentioned before, we will also see the conditions that they establish:
- Movistar
In the case of the blue operator, we can go to a physical store and get it at the same time. However, as they explain on their website, for security reasons it cannot be requested by phone or over the Internet, only in person. Just like it can only be delivered to the owner of the line or to a person authorized by the owner of the line. Regarding the cost set by Movistar, the price for a duplicate SIM in Movistar is 14.50 euros. In addition, you can choose between SIM, MicroSIM or NanoSIM.
- vodafone
In the case of Vodafone, we are also facing an option that can only be managed in person. In addition to the fact that it is important that the owner requests it. In this case, they set the following price for the duplicate: Peninsula and Balearic Islands for 5 euros, Canary Islands for 4.45 euros, Ceuta and Melilla for 4.24 euros.
However, in the conditions they inform us that the duplicate has no cost in case they have been registered from Televenta or Online Store and the welcome communication has not been received and/or the SIM card is defective. In addition, you do not pay if it has been stolen or damaged. These same conditions apply to prepaid customers. And it can be requested in different formats.
- Orange
In the case of Orange, SIM duplicates made in stores are priced at 5 euros. However, they give the possibility of requesting it through 1470, but you will have to pay 12 euros. In the case of individuals, it will be paid on the next invoice and for business customers it will be paid at the time of delivery to the courier.
- Yoigo
To request a duplicate of a mobile card in Yoigo it costs us 7.26 euros. In addition, as in Movistar and Vodafone, it can only be requested in the operator’s physical stores. Therefore, you will not be able to do it either online or by phone. It is a good way that they cannot get us to do SIM swapping.
- Digi
Let’s go with the last operator. In this case, Digi is one of the few operators that offer us a duplicate SIM card for free. Yes, as you read, we will not have to pay when we go to request the duplicate with the Romanian operator. In this case, we can only request it in a physical store, as is the case with Yoigo, Vodafone or Movistar.
